商品紹介

パンデミック（pandemic）とは、ある感染症や伝染病が世界的に流行することを表す用語である。 このゲームは世界中に拡大しようとする感染症の根絶をテーマにしている。プレイヤーは医者や科学者となり、世界の各都市で研究所を建設し、世界中に発生した人類の生命にかかわる4種類の病原菌による感染症の治療を行い、拡大を防いでいく。しかしちょっと手を抜くとたちまち病原菌は広がり、ゲームオーバーとなってしまう。このゲームは、プレイヤー同士で協力して4種の病原菌に対応するワクチンすべてを発見し根絶できればプレイヤーチームが勝利する、多人数協力型ゲームだ。

惜しくも２００９年度ドイツ年間ゲーム大賞は逃しましたが
最終候補作にまで残った名作です

各プレイヤーは医者や研究者などさまざまな役割を担い、
それぞれが協力して４つの病原菌の特効薬作成を目指します。

このゲームでは世界が４つのエリアに分かれており、
それぞれの地域で特有の風土病が発生します。
プレイヤーは都市名とその都市が属するエリアの色が
書かれたカードを集め、同色のカードを５枚集めて研究所へ向かうと
そのエリアの病気の特効薬が完成します。

ただし、プレイヤーが手札を集める一方で感染拡大は進行しつづけ、
各プレイヤーの手番ごとに世界のどこかで病気の流行が発生し、
都市に病気マーカーが置かれます。
都市の病気マーカーが３つを越えるとアウトブレイクが発生し、
近隣の都市すべてに病気マーカーが置かれてしまいます。

また、エピデミックというカードが含まれており、そのカードを引くと
ある都市に一気に３つの病気マーカーが置かれることになります。
このカードが引かれたら全力で事態の収拾にあたってください。

勝利条件は４つの病原体の特効薬作成のみ、
敗北条件は手札の山がなくなる、ある色の病気マーカーがなくなる、
アウトブレイクが一定数以上起こる、の３パターンです。
エピデミックカードの枚数で難易度調整が出来ますが、
最低難易度の４枚でやってもなかなか難しいです。

協力ゲームとして非常に出来の良いゲームですが、
万人受けするタイプではないと思います。
さほど時間もかかりませんし、勝敗を競うゲームの合間にどうぞ。

内容については他の方も書かれているので
楽しさについて
競い合うばかりのゲームでは疲れる場合もあります。
そんな時にこのゲームが良いように思います。
難易度について
5歳の子供でも参加しているので
それほどルールは難しくないです。
盤のつくりもしっかりしているので
いくつかボードゲームを持っている人にはおすすめ！
初めて買おうと思う人には別のボードゲームも検討してみることをお勧めします。
