ラジオで収録曲2曲ともフルで流れていて聴いたのだが、久しぶりのGRANRODEOらしさ、シングル曲らしさのでた良曲に満足。
ここ最近のシングルは¨GRANRODEOのシングル¨らしい楽曲というより、アルバムからカットしたような楽曲が多く、前シングルのTRANCEの一曲目で言えば、紀章が高音をどこまでだせるか、もっとハードにしたらどうなるか?といった実験的な曲構成になっていて、らしさが失われていた。
今回の一曲目は前作以上にハード感があり疾走感があるが、本来の紀章のベストな音域で聴きやすく、かつシングルらしいわかりやすい耳に残るメロディで久しぶりの¨GRANRODEOらしい¨シングルに仕上がっていると感じた。
二曲目も季節感があり、一曲目と違う味がでている。

『NEEDLESS』のオープニングで初めて聴いた瞬間に惚れてしまい発売を心待ちにしておりました。

グランロデオの楽曲の中でも激しい部類に入る『modern strange cowboy』は飯塚さんの早弾き＋きーやんのシャウトでロック色全開に仕上がっています。
熱い詩と最初から最後までとにかくハイテンションで突っ走る曲展開も言う事無し!!。

カップリング曲『サマーGT09』は合の手や掛け声等のポイントがふんだんに用意されてるのでLiveで楽しめる事請け合いです
ロデオボーイ&ロデオガールはCDを聴き込んで会場できーやんの煽りに答えれば更に熱いLiveになる事でしょう!!。

GRANRODEOの11thシングルで、アニメ「NEEDLESS」の主題歌です。
GRANRODEOの作品の中で、名に関したロデオ (Rodeo) に関わる、
カウボーイ (Cowboy) を歌詞とタイトルに織り込んだ作品です。

タイトルは「時代からはみ出たカウボーイ」と言う感じでしょうか。
歌詞の内容も、周囲とずれてるかもしれないけど、
熱い思いを胸に秘め真っ直ぐ生きていこうという歌詞です。
前向きな歌詞が疾走感溢れるテンポの良いナンバーに載るヒートソングです。

カウボーイに関する作品はもうチョイ早く出ても良いと思いましたが、
この語をかなり大事にされていたんではないかなぁとか感じたり。
