今現在、トライアングル全国ロング・ライブ・ツアーをファンの為という原点を忘れず必死に歌い・踊り続けている、Perfumeのあーちゃん、のっち、ゆかちゃん。このアルバムを聴いていると、昨今言われている、テクノ・ポップじゃない、声の加工をした口パク、ジャンルが確立してない等などの批判的意見が虚しくなるくらい、様々な要素を取り入れた多種多様な音楽性に驚き、感動する大作品だと思う。前回のGAMEもジャンルにとらわれない作品で大好きだが、一番大事な事は、理屈でなく、Perfumeの歌、ダンス、パフォーマンス、MCなどを含めて好きか嫌いかという単純明快さだけだと思う。自分は、Perfumeが好きで、今作のトライアングルという作品が好きというのがこの作品の感想です。

　1曲目のイントロから超格好良い！これ聴いて、本当にホッとしました。

　既発曲が多いので正直それほど期待していなかった本作だけど、スマンかった、ヤスタカ。君の曲順の置き方のセンスはやっぱり素晴らしい。死ぬほど聴いてきた「ラブワ」「DF」収録曲もきっちり鮮度が生き返ってます。（特に「edge」新バージョン、ハードでカッケー！！「願い」新バージョンは、最初からこれくらい手をかけなさいというか。。）

　なんか、紅白後の「売れて当たり前」の停滞感に加えて、メディアが叩くフェーズに変わってきたことで、少し暗い気分になってたのは否めなかったよね。録音自体は大分前に終ってたと思うんだけど、結果的にチーム・パフュームのこのアルバムに賭ける気合に、今回のピンチは救われた気がする。ヤスタカ、いい曲書いてくれて本当にどうも有難う！

　音の方も、年齢相応の大人っぽさとアーティストっぽさが加味されてきて、きちんと進化してます。「Zero Gravity」「The best thing」などハズレ無しの新録曲が並ぶ後半の充実度とドライブ感は本当に素晴らしい。既に「アイドル」であることが足枷になりつつある今、寂しいけどいつまでも「GAME」の音は引き摺ってられないので、こういうベクトルの音が出てきたことは、今後が楽しみだ。
　
　3人もヤスタカも音作りに割ける時間が限られてきてる中、これだけのクオリティがキープできてたら、パフュはまだ大丈夫だ。そして、ファンの僕らも大丈夫。最近、色々あって引いてったみんな、帰っておいでよ。

　未だに、パフュームへの様々な否定的言及は絶えないようだ。例えば、おなじみの、こんなのは「テクノ」じゃないというやつ。「テクノそのもの」ではないに決まっている。また、これもおなじみの「口パク」云々。しかし、パフュームの場合、歌唱力の欠如の補償なのではない。現代的な技法としての声の加工、高度なダンスの維持が必要とされているのだ。
　本作は待望の3rdアルバム。近年、3、11のようなシングルのメイン曲が保守的ではという指摘もあり、内容が注目されていた。「結論」（？）からいうと、これまで以上に多様性が意識された音作りになっている。
　周知の通り、クラブ音楽は、一種、それまでの音楽史を総てシャッフルする役割を担った。恐らく、本作での中田ヤスタカは、これを、更に現代的アイドル・ポップに注入しようとしている。特に今回は、ファンク〜メロウ系ソウル〜フュージョン〜ラテン〜ハウスなどの色が濃い。新曲である6〜10あたりの流れがそうだ。
　無論、音楽的な質の高さはいうまでもない。他方、確かにちょっと気になるのは、大衆的な楽曲と高度な楽曲が、少し分離しているのではという印象。今の中田が本当にやりたいのは、ファンクやハウスをベースにしたラディカルな音楽なのかもしれない。
　ただ、現在のパフュームという「プロジェクト」は、日本の大衆音楽のレヴェルを変えるという「使命」をもってしまいつつある。是非、高度さと大衆性のバランス維持への挑戦を続けていって欲しい。
