この限定をプレイするためには、SW2.0のルールを予め多少なりとも理解していることが必要最低条件となる。
なにせ能力値や技能等に関する説明等が、プレイ前時点で一切ないのだ(取説には記載されておらず、ゲームにはチュートリアルがない)。
それでありながら、本作はあくまでデジタル・ゲームブックであり、TRPGのみならずCRPG要素ですら皆無に近い。
例えば、本来のSWが用いている探索や戦闘などのシステムは一切使用されていない。
そして、プレイヤーの行動には自由度が少ない。
さらには繰り返し同じテキストを読まされたり、単調な戦闘に付き合わされたり……。
もっとも物語は面白いとは思う。
前述の通りゲームブックなのだと割り切れば悪い代物ではない。
それだけに、いろいろ残念な要素が目立ってしかたない。
いっそ「ソード・ワールド2.0」の冠を外してくれた方が、諦めがつくのに……。

ソードワールド2.0と書いてはいるが、技能や能力値の意味の説明もなければ、説明書もゲーム中も技能や能力値によるサイコロ判定への影響が全く描かれていません。さらに、町に寄る描写があってもプレイヤーの回復アイテムが補充されないため、ジリ貧でにっちもさっちも行かなくなって「詰む」展開になったりします。またダンジョンマップがオートマッピングではなくタッチペンで手書きで書くことを要求されます。
　正直ゲームブックのようなRPGがされたいのでしたら、こんなゲームを買わずに「Ruina 廃都の物語」という名作フリーゲームをプレイされたほうがはるかに楽しめることでしょう。

企画段階からプレイヤーへの配慮が欠如していたのだろう。
誰か、この惨事を止めることができることはできなかったのだろうか？
この企画に携わったすべての人が反省することを期待している。

●既読スキップ
　縦置きで上矢印（横置きで右矢印）を押せば、既読スキップできますよ。説明書には書かれていないことだけど。

●テキスト閲覧性能
　自動文章送り＆放置して別の作業、という技と、既読スキップを組み合わせれば、そこそこのテキスト閲覧性能はある。過去のSNE系PC版キネティックノベルと比較すれば優秀。kindleと比較してみると、ゲームブックDSには読むに耐えない程度のテキスト閲覧性能がある。

●戦闘
　ソードワールド／SW2.0の戦闘システムには準拠していない。
　　　攻撃：サイコロを振る→大きい目なら大ダメージ、小さい目なら小ダメージ。
　　　特技・攻撃魔法：サイコロを振る→大きい目なら極大ダメージ、小さい目だと失敗。
　　　MPは存在しない。
　退屈で無意味な作業を長時間行うだけでありストレスが貯まる。
　（説明書に記載されていないけれども）カーソル操作を使えば、タッチパネルなしでも戦闘できるという点は高く評価したい。

●判定
　使用する技能、基準値、目標値は表示されないため、サイコロを振る単純作業にすぎない。

●技能
　戦士の書ならば、ファイター／グラップラーのどちらか片方を５レベルまで上げれば戦闘に勝てるだろう。
　魔法使いの書ならば、プリーストまたはフェアリーテイマーのどちらかをあげて、キュアウーンズ等を多用すれば戦闘に勝てるだろう。
　スカウト・レンジャー・セージはなくてもよい。もし、１レベルあれば、判定でのダイス目３でも成功になることが多い。

●難易度
　とてもデッドリーな点はゲームブックらしい。長時間かかる退屈な戦闘がネックになるため、繰り返し読むのはムリ。

●ダンジョン
　ややこしいダンジョンはゲームブックらしい。戦闘をスキップできないので、やりなおしの際には時間がかかりすぎる。

●シナリオの文章
　上述のような艱難辛苦を乗り越えても読みたい、と思う程度には面白い。おそらく、その部分に注力しすぎたと思われる。読み切れる自信はない。

●その他の仕様
　ソーサラー技能なくてもロック・アンロックを使うことができます。
