個人的にアルバム『スティール・ホイールズ』以降で一番好きなのは
このアルバムです。
時代の流行とはあまり関係なくシンプルなアプローチの曲が並んでいて
変な気負いも感じません。

特に１曲目~３曲目の流れは大好きです。
タイトル通りの馬鹿みたいにシンプルな王道ロック８曲目も貫禄を感じます。

ここまでは良いのですが９曲目以降の後半が地味な曲が並びます。
とはいえカントリー調だったりラフな雰囲気は悪くありませんし
キースの枯れたバラード１４曲目は良い曲だと思います。

ソリッド＆シンプルなロックのベイシックに戻った模様。しかし、すこー~~んと突き抜けたものはあんまり感じず。残念だなああ。１０年前にこれがリリースされていればそれは機能するとは思うが、今の状況では効果が薄い。９０年代はストーンズにとって『試練』の時代だ。
１０点中６点　　長寿バンドの苦難は続く
