映画観賞後に何気に購入したアルバムを聴いて驚いた！！！

曲目数は僅かに9曲。しかし、収録時間は54分24秒！！最長の曲は12分27秒で1曲づつが音楽として非常に！！聴き応えがある。
本作品に対するハンス・ジマーの執念のようなパワーを感じる。

映画のサウンドトラックというと場面に合わせて作った楽曲が多く、映画ファンでなくてはアルバムとしては面白くないものが多いが、本品は映画をまったく知らなくても楽しめると思う。

商品としては洋盤に国内用の帯をつけて、ペラ物両面刷りモノクロ解説書が折り込みになっているだけ。解説書の内容は際だっては深くはないので、洋盤でも良いかもしれない。

　なんて表現すればいいのでしょう。映画の冒頭、耳慣れた旋律がヴァイオリンソロで流れた瞬間に、ハンス・ジマーの世界へと取り込まれてしまいました。それからの２時間余りはあっと言う間。『ダ・ヴィンチ・コード』の旋律を残しながら、より印象的になったサウンドと共に、映像が頭から離れません。特に２、８＆９はジョシュア・ベルのヴァイオリンによる主題が素晴らしくて、純粋に音楽として聞いても文句なしです。『パイレーツ…』シリーズ同様、回を重ねるごとに高みへ昇るような彼の才能には本当に恐れ入ります。
　ただ、絶対入ると思った原作部分が割愛されていたのが残念でした。あれが一番の動機だと思ったのに…。ぜひ原作も読んでみてくださいね。その後にまたCDを聞くと、ヴァイオリンが一層胸に迫って来ると思います。

サントラを探して、中古商品が出品されていたので購入しました。
ダヴィンチ・コードに比較してサスペンス的要素が大きい映画のストーリーでしたが、荘厳さと緊迫感、またアップテンポな曲調とクラシカルな部分がうまく混在していて内容によくマッチしたサントラだと思います。DVDで映画自体の再視聴は簡単な時代ですけど、音楽だけ聴くというのもいろいろなイマジネーションが刺激され、良いものです。
