初夏から夏に向けてぴったりな感じのミニアルバム。トラック1「はじまりのうた」の爽快感がなんといっても秀逸。Sotte Bosseさんはカバーアルバムの印象が強いですが、カバーだけじゃなくオリジナルナンバーも良いです。もしできるなら「はじまりのうた」のような感じの楽曲とトラック6「rainy day」のようなインストナンバーをバンバン詰め込んで、6人ユニットのi-depの解散前に、i-dep名義でぜひ出して欲しかったなあ。

Sotte Bosseお２人が送るミニアルバム“Way”は爽やかさと不思議な雰囲気に包み込んでくれる楽曲集です。

多分多くの方がご存知の有名洗顔フォームのCMソングの“はじまりのうた”は、vocalのCANAさんが語りかける様に歌っていたと思えば爽やかに流れるリズムに軽やかに乗って歌う感じの曲にぐっと引き込まれ、ライブハウス風の感じの曲“My color”、やや古臭さを感じる曲“虹の渡る場所”で落ち着きを持ったと思えば流れるモダンジャズ風のサンバのリズムが心地よい“ひとひら〜samba version〜”で次の曲への期待を抱かせたと思えば、不思議感覚の曲“Piece!!!”、テクノポプ風のスキャットの曲“rainy day”で一気に別世界に連れて行かれた気分になります。
弾き語り風の曲“太陽が心にさすように”で締めくくるこの楽曲集はsotte Bosseさんの新感覚を楽しめる１枚です。

ロリーター・ヴォイスの魅力は
曲に生々しい表情をつけること。

それは、ボサノバの魅力と一致していますね。

爽やかで勢いのあるサウンドと、ロリーター・ヴォイス。
一つ間違えると騒々しい音楽になりがちなのですが、

適度に抑制が利いていて
意外とスムーズに耳に入ってきます

アルバムの曲数も、やたら多いより
このくらいのほうが
曲の粒も揃っていていいですね。
