メロディーのモチーフは、アントニン・ドヴォルザーク(1841-1904)作曲の交響曲第9番ホ短調作品95『新世界より』第二楽章で、詞は前作「カンパニュラの恋」に続く平原綾香自身によるもの。編曲はデビュー曲「Jupiter」の坂本昌之氏。

作品としての評価は２曲目のアベマリアの編曲に五つ星をあげたい印象です。熱っぽさを前面に出し過ぎて、くどく感じる部分もあるが、大変印象深い曲調に仕上がっている。つい何気なく口すさんでしまう自分に驚いてしまった。
１曲目は、中盤のアップテンポ部分へのチェンジがちょっと古さと安易さを感じてしまうのはファンとしての宿命なのだろうか？小編成オケのようなスタートからだったら、曲調からしてピアノと弦楽四重奏とのインタープレイを期待してしまったのは不覚でした。前半と後半のイメージが乖離している印象が強い。全体だと７０点としたい。

今度出るアルバムも欲しいなと思いました。ライブも観にいきたい！。
