★オリジナル・フルアルバムとしては約1年8ヶ月ぶりとなる本作は、彼らの最新シングル「ツアーファイナル」やライブでも大変人気の高い名曲「ドナドナ」、「へそ天エリザベスカラー」など筆頭に、書き下ろしの新曲が7曲、及びセルフカバーが3曲の新録作品にて構成。
★新曲としてはこれまでの筋肉少女帯バラードナンバーの中でも最も美しく壮大なメロディを持ったラヴ・バラード「世界中のラブソングが君を」や、美しくもハードなロックナンバー「1000年の監視者」、そして筋肉少女帯のもうひとつの魅力とも言えるほのぼのした“和み系”を感じさせる「蓮華畑」など、個性的な楽曲陣にて構成。

この曲順でライブを行ったら、果してどのぐらいまで身体が持つだろうか?と思うぐらいギュウギュウにアンコの詰まったアルバム。

収録曲、総てが素晴らしい。

例えば、

まるで星の煌めく夜空のように美しい「世界中のラブソングが君を」。

オリジナルの何倍もハードになった「ノーマン・ベイツ’09」。

内田雄一郎、作曲のプロレグナンバー「ゴッドアングルPart.2」。

筋少でのカバーが嬉しい名曲「踊る赤ちゃん人間」。
等々。

前作「新人」が、緊張感と脱力感のツートンカラーでしたが、今作は緊張感の中に脱力感を練り込んだアルバムだな、と思いました。

筋肉少女帯は『聴く人を選ぶマニアックなバンド』という評判は、このアルバムをきっかけに変わるかもしれない。

とにかく全ての曲が聴きやすい。
キャッチーな楽曲を多く採用したのに加えて、音のバランスがまた絶妙！
オーケンの詩を味わうも良し、橘高のギターに打ち震えるのも良し、三柴のピアノに涙するも良し！
聴く人それぞれが、色々な聴きかた、楽しみ方を出来るアルバムだと思う。

これからはじめて筋肉少女帯を聴くという人がいたら、迷わずこのアルバムを薦めたい！

やっぱ筋少は凄かったです。
ハードな楽曲が多いですが、その中に置かれた、「世界中のラブソングが君を」「蓮華畑」がとても美しいです。

橘高氏のギターも健在。

ジャケットも素晴らしい。
筋肉少女帯、第二黄金期へ突入です。
