圧倒的に小さく軽量。構えた時、親指は端子カバーの上に。カバーには凸彫り文字があり
このでこぼこがホールドするのに役立っている。
Pモードへの切り替えは専用スイッチがあるので容易。オートで苦手な場面や、自分好みの
写真を撮りたい場合も即対応できる。
インターフェイスは小さくなってもキヤノンおなじみのもの。露出補正、ISO変更もすばや
くできる。再生、ズームはとても速い。
突起がなくさわり心地はとてもいいが、ややすべりやすいのでストラップは必要。
シャッターボタンはボディとツライチなので、ストローク長は普通なのに、他のカメラと比
べて深く押しこむような動作に感じた。片手だとシャッターブレしやすいと思った。
私は赤を購入。高級感のあるデザイン、仕上げに満足。ハイビジョン動画で日常を気軽に撮れ
るのが何よりうれしい。購入してよかったと思っている。

薄型コンパクトかつ、角が丸みを帯びたボディに加え、ボタンがフラットなので、鞄やポケットへの出し入れがとても楽です。

前モデルのIXY DIGITAL 25 ISと比べると、ボタンに割り当てられた機能が一部変更されて、撮影／再生モードの切り替えや、露出補正の操作がしやすくなっています。

フラットで小さなボタンは押しやすいとは言えませんが、親指の側面で押すようにすると、しっかりと操作できます。

レンズは33mm相当（35mm判換算）からの3倍ズームで、28mm相当（同）よりも画角が肉眼に近く、癖が無く扱いやすいです。また、広角端での歪曲収差（タル型）が、割とよく抑えられています。

手ぶれ補正や顔認識といった、今やコンパクトデジカメの基本機能とも言える機能にも、しっかりと対応し、HD動画撮影にも対応しています。

デザイン以外に特徴が無いように見えるかもしれませんが、基本がしっかりしていて癖が無く、扱いやすいカメラだと思います。

魅力は何と言っても小型軽量さ。携帯電話くらいの体積でしょうか。
いつも持ち歩いて、メモに使っています。
雑誌や新聞も少し歪みますが、近くでもよく焦点が合いますので、とりやすいです。
もちろん、普通の撮影もいい感じです。子どもが動いていてもよくピントがあります。顔認識もよく働きますし。
バッテリーはそれほどとらなければ１週間くらいは充電していません。旅行で一日中映しているような場合、予備が１本あれば私の場合十分です。
画像もキャノンの他機種同様、きれいです。
