5.0 out of 5 stars 懐かしいけど新しい・・安定の充実作, 2009/10/4
アラフォーの洋楽ファンなら（私もそう）知らない人はいないライオネルおじさんの最新作です。
輝かしい８０年代に比べて地味な印象は拭えない９０年代でしたが、新世紀に入ってから精力的な
４枚目のアルバムになります（失礼ですがもう結構なお歳だと思いましたが）。
前作辺りから旬の人材（ＮＥ−ＹＯやスターゲイト）を積極的に取り入れそれが概ね吉と出ている
様で昔からの（コモドアーズも知ってる）ファンとしては嬉しい限りです。
（１）のイントロからして既に持っていかれますが、リードシングルの（２）ではＡＫＯＮを招き
（いつものＡＫＯＮが遠慮気味なのが笑える）トロピカル（死語！）に流したかと思えば（４）、
（５）ではザ・ドリーム（リアーナのアンブレラの作者）のミディアムを優しくそして貫禄十分に
歌い上げる等、今回も今の顔との数々のケミストリーがバッチリです。
他にも切なく泣けるバラード（１０）等聴きどころが満載ですが、大半がミディアム〜バラードで
占められており上質のＲ＆Ｂを求める向きには大満足の内容でしょう。
そして何よりもライオネルおじさんの歌いっぷりがポッと出の新人には到底マネの出来ない深みを
出しており聴いているだけでホッとして暖かい気持ちにさせてくれます。
昔からの洋楽ファンは勿論ですが、今の洋楽・Ｒ＆Ｂ好きにこそ是非聴いて頂きたいですね。
いつまでも元気でこんな若々しいアルバムを出し続けて欲しいなあ。

日本では「セイ・ユー・セイ・ミー」や「エンドレス・ラブ」、また、あの「ウィ・アー・ザ・ワールド」の作者として有名なライオネル・リッチー。80年代がいろんな意味でピーク時ではあったものの、今もこうしてクオリティをおとすことなく現役で活躍しているのは、やはりそれだけの才能と向上心が証明されているということだろう。
