2008年11月に、PS3版とXbox 360版が発売された『ワールドサッカーウイニングイレブン2009』が、PS2とPSPでキックオフ! PS2版とPSP版はデータリンクに対応しており、マスターリーグなどのセーブデータを共有できるのが特徴だ。PS3版とXbox 360版で好評だった、直感的に選手を動かせる操作性も継承。ルーレットやエラシコなどのフェイントが簡単な操作で出せるようになっている。また、サッカーゲーム未経験者でも、チームの一員としてプロサッカー選手の人生を体験できる"ビカム・ア・レジェンド"モードも搭載している。試合を盛り上げる実況には、お馴染みのジョン・カビラ氏、解説に北澤豪氏という強力コンビに加え、フローラン・ダバディー氏がピッチレポートとして登場する。

難易度上げるとエフェクトが凄まじいですね…勝てなくはないのですが、かなりストレス溜まります。

例えば明らかに能力低い選手から簡単にボール取られたり、逆に2人でプレスかけても取れない。取れたと思ったらルーズボールが最終ライン突破して失点…みたいな理不尽な展開が多すぎますね。

ウイニングイレブンシリーズは大好きで、楽しませてもらってきていましたが、そろそろどうなんだこのゲームと思います…毎年改善されることを期待して待っているウイイレファンを裏切っていると思います。実況にしてもプラス要素がない、ブンデスリーガもない、ライセンスも少ないとかエフェクト以外にも改善ポイントは沢山ありすぎですね。

　まず始めにレビューを読まれてる皆さんにはタイトル通り、旧タイトルを中古で安価に買うことをお勧めします。
　レビューでみなさん書かれているような欠点は今までずっと言われてきたことです。
つまり、全然進化してません。ドリブルで点が入り易かったり、スルーパスで点が入り易かったりタイトルごとに微妙に特徴が変わっても見方の動きやプレーヤーの操作ではどうにもならない現象（何も押してないのにスルー、パス99の選手がドフリーの横パスミスる、リフレクションは100パー相手の足元へ等々）は全然改善されずゲームとしての面白さはまったく進歩してません。
おそらくコナミもデータをちょろっといじってシーズン毎に出せばある程度売れるってことで、本気で改善する気は無さそうです。
　よってどうしても最新の選手データじゃないと嫌だという人以外、単純にサッカーゲームを楽しみたいという人は重複になりますが安価で旧作を中古で買いましょう！
　まあでも僕自身もそうですが、実際サッカーファンにとっては最新データ（とはいってもベタな注目選手をお手盛り状態で数値を高めてる感じの雑な設定ですが・・・）であることは結構な魅力なんですよね・・・

他社との独占契約が増えつつあるチームライセンスの取得が年々
厳しくなっていくであろうことは予想していましたが、まさかスタジアム
やボールの種類まで減ってしまうとは全く予想していませんでした。

悲しいのは、それを別の部分で補う努力が全くなされていないこと。
面倒なエディットが増えるなら、そこの選択肢を充実させて少しでも
作業が楽しくなるように持っていけばユーザーの受け取り方も随分
変わってくると思うのですが、そういった配慮は全く見られません。

肝心の試合内容も若干の微調整がされているだけで真新しさは
全く無し。進化どころか退化している内容で変わらぬ定価が付け
られているのですから…、私を含めた日本のゲームユーザーは
まだまだメーカーに寛容なのかもしれませんね。さすがに次に購入
する時はＰＳ３で大幅に内容がパワーアップした場合のみにしたい
と強く、本当に強く心に誓いました。
