内容紹介

日本のポピュラーミージック史を語る上で、欠かせない人物「ムッシュかまやつ」氏は、
カントリー&ウエスタン、ハワイアン、グループサウンズ、フォーク、ロック、ニューミュージック、と長いキャりアの中で多種多様な音楽ジャンルにチャレンジし、
素晴らしい作品群を残してきました。
そんなムッシュ氏が2009年1月12日に70歳を迎えます。
本企画は音楽で辿る「ムッシュかまやつの半生」をコンセプトに代表曲の数々をリメイク、
あるいはゆかりのあるアーティストとの方々とのコラボレイトと言う形で “ムッシュかまやつ生誕70周年のアニバーサリー・アルバム”としてリリースするものです。
そして本企画は発起人の一人でもあり、ムッシュかまやつ氏との仕事からその音楽キャリアをスタートさせたという武部聡志氏が全面プロデュースを手掛けます。

日本ポップス界の重鎮・ムッシュかまやつの70thのバースデイアルバムは最高に楽しい内容。
ムッシュのバックでキャリアをスタートしたという現代を代表する音楽プロデューサー武部聡志プロデュースの本作品は温かさにも溢れてる。
お薦めはmicroと共演の「ゴロワーズを吸った事があるかい」の格好よさ、トータス松本と共演の「どうにかなるさ」のセツなさ、盟友・堺正章＆井上順と共演した「エレクトリックおばあちゃん」の楽しさ、親族の森山良子、直太朗と共演した新曲「懲りない二人」の優しさ、そして一人息子TAROかまやつが書き下ろし、彼のピアノ１本で共演した「ゆっくりとゆっくりと」の温かさ。バラエティ溢れる内容の濃い素晴らしいアルバムです。

70歳を迎えても衰えない歌声。色褪せない楽曲に、かつてバック・バンドもやってたThe Alfeeや、旧作でデュエットした今井美樹、その夫の布袋寅泰、そしてザ・スパイダース時代の仲間の堺正章、井上順など豪華なミュージシャン多数参加の聴き応え充分でご機嫌な1枚。余談だがムッシュかまやつは、ザ・ビーバーズというバンドに醐樹弦（ごきげん）というペンネームで「君なき世界」という曲を提供した。
前作「クラッシクス」では旧作のセルフ・カヴァーのみでしたが今回は、旧作に加え3曲の新曲が有るのが嬉しい。従兄弟の森山良子にその息子直太朗の作品、松任谷由美、そして息子のTAROかまやつの作品にも注目。
