邦題になった「グリーンディスティニー」では何となく伝わらないのですが、映画全編を見た後に原題「crouching tiger hidden dragon」というより漢字の「臥虎跳龍」を見ると何故だか全てがしっくりと落ち着くべき所へ落ち着く印象を抱きました。

エクスカリバー伝説に似た骨格に中国武術と男女の複雑な相関図。そして美しい映像、楽しくない筈がありません。
チャン・ツィ・イーはやはりここでも我が侭な娘を演じ、それが映画全体の柱となるシーンなのですが我が侭ぶりがよく似合う。
そして本来の主役と呼ぶべきチョウ・ユン・ファやミシェル・ヨーの円熟した演技や衰えていない体の切れを見ると日本の中でも進化し続けてきた愛すべき時代劇と同様に中国で愛され続け進化してきた京劇をも取り込んだ中国時代劇の一つの完成系を観た気がしました。

香港映画にありがちだった勧善懲悪ではなく構成も巧みなストーリー。
誰が臥せる虎で誰が跳ける龍なのか、本来日本人も持っていた虎と龍に対するイメージなど様々なことを喚起させる良作です。

DVDの時もSUPERBIT版が出たりとこだわりがあった作品ですが、Blu-ray版では更に背景描写等本来表現しようと
していたものが詳細に感じることができます。

DVDでは破錠の合ったアクションシーンや竹林のシーンもBlu-rayではしっかりと表現されていて、ストレスを感じる
事もありません。

またチョウ・ユンファとミシェル・ヨーの抑えた演技が円熟味と貫禄を増していて良いです。
チャン・ツィ・イーはこの作品のイメージが強く付いて、暫くはこの役の様な勝気の若い女の子を演じる事が多かった
ですね。

一つの剣を巡ってこれだけの悲劇が繰り広げられるのも武侠映画ならではという感じです。

これは面白い映画です。途中で長々と回想シーンが入ってストーリーが中断するのですが、演出が良いのか、まったく気になりません。日本の忍者映画も、これぐらいの作品が出来るよう、頑張ってほしいです。チョウ・ユンファと小林旭共演で！
