2005年には初監督作品「真夜中の弥次さん喜多さん」が大きな話題となった宮藤官九郎の監督・脚本最新作は…パンクロック!!!

★若き日の“少年メリケンサック”が歌う(峯田和伸がボーカル・ジミー役)テーマ曲「ニューヨークマラソン」を収録! そして映画のエンディング曲である松任谷由実「守ってあげたい」を向井秀徳と銀杏BOYZの峯田和伸が“ねらわれた学園”という名義でアコースティックバージョンでカバーし、その楽曲も収録!!
またまた、若き日の少年メリケンサックが歌う「ニューヨークマラソン」のPVをDVDに収録。映画の予告映像も収録され映画ファンにも音楽ファンにもマストなアイテムとなっている。
★メインテーマ「ニューヨークマラソン」は銀杏BOYZが担当。
“銀杏BOYZ”とは・・・
2003年1月、GOING STEADYを解散。その後ボーカル峯田和伸が銀杏BOYZを結成。当初は峯田のソロ名義であった
が、同じくGOING STEADYの安孫子真哉(ベース)と村井守(ドラム)、新ギタリストのチン中村をメンバーに迎え、2003年5月から本格的に活動を開始。個性的な楽曲と圧倒的なライブパフォーマンスが多くのファンに支持され、05年アルバム「君と僕の第三次世界大戦的恋愛革命」、「DOOR」を同時リリース。07年シングル「あいどんわなだい」と「光」をリリース。
インディーズながら絶大な人気を博す。

どう聴いてもこの一般ウケしないこの音は、ここ最近日本によく"蔓延しているパンク"より比にもならないくらいパンクだ
むしろ蔓延してるパンクのほうがパンクにみえない
まず、下手くそで汚くて臭くてそれでも光る何かがある
それがパンク

峯田さんが何歌ってるかわからない?
クリアな音?

パンクにそんなこと期待するなバーカ

PVはリアルパンクスは必見です
映画館では一部流れましたが、その時あたしはコブシ挙げて声上げたくなったのは確か

シングルカットする、必要があったのか?というのが、正直な感想です。#1も#2もそれぞれ魅力的ですが、銀杏のファンとしては拍子抜けするかもしれません。映画のサントラとして聴いた方が良いと思います。
