内容紹介

木管楽器無伴奏ソロ、しかも全曲昭和演歌(含・ムード歌謡、韓国民謡、戦後歌謡)という試みは、世界初では?? しかし決してパロディではなく、「いいメロディを是非もっと世界中に知らしめたい」という梅津和時の切なる真面目な思いによって実現したアルバムです。ジャズ界に嫌われようとして作ったと言っても過言ではない(笑)全篇演歌アルバム! しかしいいメロディにジャズも演歌もないはず。 健さんへの敬愛が全力でプレイに表れ、終わり方も実にクールな健さんらしい「唐獅子牡丹」、サブリミナルにメロディが出てくる「夢は夜ひらく」、これぞ演歌のムードアルト!な「女の意地」と「なみだの操」、訥々とメロディを吹ききる「北帰行」や「花と蝶」、梅津節炸裂のソプラノが涙を誘う「矢切の渡し」や「ペンノレ」、などなど、曲にあわせて木管を持ち替え、アレンジを施し、その曲の持つイメージを梅津流に解釈しております。 大荒れの日本海。居酒屋。男と女。人生の陰影。打ちひしがれた者たち.....梅津和時は吹きます。タメます。泣かせます。

アーティストについて

国立音楽大学在学中よりプロ活動を始める。70年代後半『生活向上委員会』~80年代『D.U.B.(ドクトル梅津バンド)』、 『RC SUCCESION』にて人気を不動と成す。 並行して他ジャンルとのセッション、コラボレーション、 レコーディング、企画プロデュース等にも幅広く活躍。欧米、アジアでの演奏活動も活発に行ない、海外のジャズフェスティバルにも多数出演。 「リード楽器を自在に操る、稀有なインプロヴァイザー」として高く評価されている。 現在は鬼怒無月(g)、早川岳晴(b)、ジョー・トランプ(ds)との「KIKI BAND」、多国籍カオス・グループ「こまっちゃクレズマー」を率いる一方、相変わらずジャンル横断問答無用のセッションを日々繰り広げ常に注目を集めている。

クラリネットで「津軽海峡冬景色」をしっとり吹く。ソプラノで「矢切の渡し」が切なげだ。「なみだの操」をアルトでグネグネ...。何だよカッコいいなぁコレ。オレもなにか吹けたらなぁ、近所でクラリネットのおじさんとか言われて人気者だよなぁ。こうなったら楽器始めちゃうか？...そんな気分になる作品。良いです。

「お！なかなかのタイトル！おもしろそう」と思われた方、聴いて損はないです。
叙情的な演奏あり、即興的な演奏あり、サムテイラーばりのムード演奏ありと、ソロ演奏にもかかわらず、まったく飽きさせません。
「ん〜。この曲はERIC DOLPHYぽい演奏だ」とか思って油断していると、思いっきり演歌の間奏のフレーズが演奏され、その落差に、思わずのけぞります。
聴いてるうちにアルトサックスの曲になると「お！きた！きた！」と何故かわくわくしてきます。
当然ながら、堅苦しくなく、楽しめます。知ってる曲があると、無意識にそのフレーズを追ってます。
あ！それってJAZZか！
