前々作の「I believe you〜愛の花〜」からカップリングとして収録されている"performed by Inter-D"と冠された楽曲。
これは愛内里菜がDJのME-YA、Double　Sとともに結成したユニットの曲であることを表すものである。
Inter-Dは未だそれ自体として独立したシングルやアルバムは発表していないが、ファッションショーや学園祭にはInter-Dとしての出演経歴もある。
これまで愛内里菜といえばストレートな歌い方ばかりで、MiracleやI can't stop my love for youなどのようにアイドル路線の曲も多かった。
そのイメージとは一転、このInter-Dでの愛内はかなりトリッキーな歌声も披露している。
楽曲もクラブハウス系で、「アニソン歌手」のイメージを払拭するものである。
最新アルバム「THANX」が９０年代ポップス路線になったことを考えると、Inter-Dは完全な別物としてこれから売り出される可能性も。

A-side曲の「Friend」「素顔のまま」も、Inter-Dが収録されている盤の中では一番の出来かつそれぞれ異彩を放つ曲かと。
まさに一粒で三度おいしいお得感あふれるシングルだと思います。
