ソフトの内容については、前作と今作、それぞれのレビューをご参考に。スペシャルパッケージの内容についてレビューします。

・前作『チョコボと魔法の絵本』
・今作『チョコボと魔法の絵本　魔女と少女と５人の勇者』
・絵本『チョコっとアルヴァニカ』＋ミニサントラCD『チョコっとCD』

上記の３点セットで定価：7,140円。前作を持っておらず今作にも興味のある方には、お値段から考えてもオススメできるセットですが、前作を持っているファンにはというと…。

絵本はDSのパッケージよりも少し大きいサイズでしっかりした表紙、イラストも文章もシンプルで本当に『絵本』という感じの可愛い本で、なかなか良いと思います。この本だけでお話が完結している訳ではなく、ゲームへの導入という内容です。
ミニサントラCDは全部で６曲収録。こちらは曲のタイトルが絵本にもCDのデータにも入っていないという、詰めが甘い感じの物で、しかも、すべての曲が12月末に発売された『魔法の絵本シリーズ』のサントラCDに収録されており、サントラも購入した身としては残念な物でした。

絵本とCD欲しさにこのセットを購入したのですが、上記の理由で、正直、がっかりしました。
ソフト自体は『魔法の絵本』の名の通り、温かみのある世界観で雰囲気がとてもステキなゲームです。
おそらく、値崩れしてしまった前作をセット販売したかった物なのでしょうが、せっかく限定版を発売するのなら、前作から購入している『チョコボシリーズ』を支えているファンのことも考慮して、素直に喜べる物にして欲しかったです。
新規ファンの方には良いですが、以前からのファンの方は、よく考えた上での購入をオススメします。
