5.0 out of 5 stars ほんの少しの変化だけど、だからこそ受け入れやすく、そしてクセになる。, 2008/12/26
まず、一通り聴き終えて感じたのは『今までで一番まとまりのないアルバム』だということ。

色々な曲が詰まってる。ちょっと例えが悪いかもしれないけど、イメージでは次の通り。
前作：Ninoは『今が旬のNinoの魅力たっぷり詰め込みました！Nino100％（果汁100％みたいな）』という感じ。
今作：Distanceは『大好評のNinoに新しい仲間が登場！全部味わうも良し、お好きなものだけをチョイスするのもよし！』というイメージだろうか。
地味な曲が多くなったんだけど、今までのポップなROUND TABLE featuring Ninoのイメージからすれば逆に冒険している感じを受ける。

2ndアルバムまでで｢In April｣｢Message｣｢Sunny Side Hill｣が大好きな私としては、｢Sunny Day｣｢Oh! Yeah!! -New Year's Mix-｣などの前向きな歌詞に元気の良い曲を好きになったのはもちろん。
そのほかにもこれまで｢夏待ち｣｢潮騒｣｢Rainbow｣が好きで、今作では｢横顔｣もかなりはまった。これらの4曲は、どこか幻想的というか非現実的。だけどとても綺麗な曲で、そこが好き。

これらの曲が持つ『今までのNino路線』とは異なった印象を受けた曲が｢普通の事｣｢宝物｣｢眠れない夜｣の3曲だ。
ROUND TABLE featuring Ninoが日常にぐっと近づいてきた。生活にとけ込む音楽。Jazzテイストと言っても良いだろうか。
（といっても、Diana KrallやEva Cassidyなどの本物とはもちろん違う。あくまでもテイストがである。）
こんな音楽も作れたんだ…と驚かされた。それから、歌いこなせるNinoにも拍手！
ジャケットが落ち着いた感じになったということは、これからもこの路線の曲を期待してもいいのだろうか。

そして何度も聴いている内に『今までで一番まとまりのないアルバム』が『今までで一番いろんな味が楽しめるアルバム』へと変化した。
文句なしにお勧め。

過去の作品と比較しても、今作はとてもしっとりとして美しく優雅に、クラシカルに奏でられた素晴らしく良質なアルバムだと思います。
始まりの一曲目で、ピアノの旋律からなる曲順から見ても、このアルバムの持つ世界観が既に冒頭から語られているように思いました。

どうしてもアニソンとしてカテゴライズされてしまう不利な状況下の中、ひいき目に見てもこのような良質な作品が世の人々に伝わり難い環境にある事は、非常に惜しい気がしてなりません。

world's endからなるラウンドテーブルのその後の積み重ねとその実力を改めて証明してくれた作品だと思います。

nino好きにはたまらんですね。
しっとり、元気に、キュートです。
個人的には"時を越えて"とかいいかなあ…オシャレっぽくて切なく力強い曲です
