アーティストについて
1963年2月16日、米国テキサス州サンアントニオ生まれ。15歳で早くもミュージシャンとしてシーンに登場。94年にクリス・デュアーテ・グループ名義でデビュー・アルバム『テキサス・シュガー・ストラト・マジック』を発表し、スティーヴィー・レイ・ヴォーンの後継者として一躍ブルース・ロック界のスターに。以来、アルバムをコンスタントにリリースし、多くのファンを獲得している。現在45歳となった彼の円熟味の増したプレイはその経験からブルースにとらわれないテクニックと情熱で今後もシーンにおいて重要な存在であり続けることは間違いないだろう。来日も幾度となくあり、早くも来年2008年1月~2月にかけて、日本が誇るブルーストーン・カンパニーとのジャパン・ツアーが予定されている(ブルーストーン・カンパニーとのニューアルバムも製作中)。盛り上がること間違いなし!
