ロケーションが最高。
そして悪天候の中険しい山道を歩き、たどり着いたオーディエンス達の顔がみんな素晴らしい。
本当にＵ２を観たいと心から願った人たちだけが集まった特別な空間。
ボノの身体から立ち上がる湯気。
まるで、クラッシュのメンバーのようないでたちのエッジ。
ロケーション、天候、オーディエンス、バンドのメンバー、スタッフ、この日でなければ
撮れなかった歴史的映像。
自分が中学生の時にＵ２はこんなにも凄いことをやってたんだ・・・。
飲み会の１回くらい断ってでも買って観て欲しい一枚。
最高だよ。最高。

Ｕ２は進化と帰結を繰り返していますが、このライブはＵ２のエネルギーの根源を感じさせてくれる唯一無二の作品であると思う。
荒削りながら、今見ても鳥肌が立つこのオープニングの高揚感は何なのか!?
Ｕ２を聴くようになったきっかけとなった亡くなった先輩が愛してやまない作品で、形見としてもらった古いビデオテープで見ていました。このライブのエンディングの「４０」はその先輩の大好きな曲の１つでした。
世界に争いがなくならない限り、「４０」は人々の心の中に流れ続けるのでしょう。

2001年の大晦日にスカパーの香港チャンネル(?)で見た事あるのですが、SD画質とはいえもっとイイ画質でした。bit数の問題ですか?音声には、ドルビー、ドルビー5ch、DTS、以外に編集人の余計な声のチャンネルがありましたが、bit数の問題ならその声削り画質を良くして欲しかった。背伸びする青年達の歴史的映像、USフェスティヴァル、ライブエイドに並ぶ80年代の秘蔵映像復活!
