1/6スケールが持つ可能性を提供し続けるホットトイズの代表作「ムービー・マスターピース」シリーズに『アイアンマン』がラインナップ。
2008年5月に全米公開され、それまでのアメコミ・ムービーの歴史を塗り替える、メガヒット超大作となっている最注目のプロパティー。劇中でロバート・ダウニーJR演ずる主人公のトニー・スタークが開発したパワードスーツの一つ、マーク3が登場だ。ホットトイズの高い技術により忠実に立体化され、劇中で確認できるスーツのギミックも数多く再現。金とチタンの合金で作られたスーツの質感はバッチリ再現され、背中と足にある飛行用スラスターは開閉し、飛行時の姿を楽しむことができる。また、ヘルメットの目の部分、胸のアーク・リアクター、広げた手パーツは電池で発光するギミック付きで徹底したこだわり。ヘッドパーツは交換が可能で、ロバート・ダウニーJRそっくりの顔を取り付けることが可能。日によって、気分によって交換して楽しむことができる。
全高約30センチ、可動ポイントは36箇所以上になっており、「ムービー・マスターピース」シリーズの持つ広い可動範囲で様々なポージングが出来るのも嬉しさアップ。

映画からそのまま出てきたかのようなすばらしい出来です。（＾＾
重量の割に関節が弱いのがちょっと残念ですね。
腰周りの柔軟素材は有りだとは思いますが耐久性はどうなんでしょう？
ずっとほしかったアイアンマンが理想のカタチでそのまま手に入る
感動はひとしおでした。

私自身HOT TOYSのアイテムは非常に好んでいますので
偏見などは無くありのままレビューをさせていただきます。
造形美に関してはサンプル画像の通り映画内で見せたフォルムを
まさに忠実再現されています。発光ギミックなどの点も含めて
誰しもが満足のいくデキだと思います。
間接に関してはサンプルを見るとあまり柔軟に見えないと感じ
られると思いますが、やはりその見たままの印象通りあまり動きません。
肘関節はなんとか９０度に達するがやっとといった感じです。
何よりも私が感じた唯一の不満点は塗装です。
パッケージなどとカラーリングに違いがある商品はよくありますが
あきらかに暗い赤と金です。
恐らくパッケージの写真は根本的に塗装がオリジナルかもしくは
非常に強い光でライトアップされています。
サンプルの画像で一番暗い影になっている部分の塗装、
それが全体の色と考えても無理はありません。
事実私は手元に届いた際あまりのパッケージとの違いで非常に驚きました。
赤はたとえるのであればアズキ色です。金はつや消しといったところでしょうか。
その点覚悟の上での購入をお勧めします。
