WindowsOSをIntel Mac上で実行する仮想化ソフトウェア。お気に入りのWindowsアプリケーションを、Mac上でシームレスに実行することが可能。
強力なユニティ機能により、WindowsアプリケーションとMacをシームレスに統合する。Windowsアプリケーションは、MacファイルやDockなどから即座に起動できる。また、最小化したWindowsアプリケーションをDockに格納し、Expose機能でWindowsとMacアプリケーションをすばやく切り替えることができる。
また、Boot Campパーティションを読み込んで、そこからWindowsOSの起動が可能。OSの切り替えに再起動は不要。既存のBoot CampパーティションからMacOS Xのデスクトップ上で同時にWindowsも実行できる。Boot Camp パーティションをFusionの仮想マシンとしてインポートすることもでき、空き容量の再利用やスナップショット、AutoProtect、サスペンド、およびレジュームなどの機能を利用できる。

以前はブートキャンプを設定し、裏と表でMac OSとVISTAを切り替えながら作業をしていました。しかし、これではMac側からウインドウズ上のファイルを書き換え出来ないので、Fusionで仮想マシンを作り、その上でVISATを走らせるように変更しました。

結論は、処理速度がわずかに遅くなるものの、十分実用に耐えます。MSオフィスを使う限り障害が出たことはありません。唯一、ホームページビルダーのファイルをMac側の共用ファイルから引っ張った時に問題が出ましたが、これもファイルを一度ウインドウズ側に移して作業を行えばエラーが出ることはありません。

今から十年以上前にもこの手のエミュレータがありましたが、当時はCPUの速度が遅く、使い物になりませんでした。隔世の感があります。

インストールも難なくでき思っていた以上に快適的です。
わざわざwinに切り替える必要がなくmacの画面上で操作できるだけでなく
データもmacからwinへ、winからmacへと簡単にコピーペースとできるのでとても便利です。
WindowsからMacへの移行を考えている方にもお勧めだと思います。

・ブートキャンプだとOSをそのつど切り替える際に再起動するので、両OSを頻繁に使い分けたい場合には、Fusionの
が簡単。また、Fusionのインストールは非常に簡単で、メッセージに従って進めていけば、迷うことなくインストール
ができます。ウインドウズOSのインストールもFusionにアシスタントプログラムが備わっているので、仮想マシンの
作成からウインドウズOSインストールまでが一連の流れで行える。
・MacとWindowsでフォルダも共用できるし、テキストのコピーやファイルの受け渡し等スムーズにできます・
・3Dグラフィックスを高速化するオプションもあるので3Dゲーム使用も十分です。
