基本的な育成モード以外に、家の模様替え（和風・山小屋風・オシャレな部屋等）が楽しめる。部屋以外に、キッチンやトイレ、部屋を出ることも可能。
行ける場所はアイテムを集めると増える。歩以外に電車、モノレールやヘリコプターに乗ることもできる。ウキウキの木という木を育てると、食べ物やアイテムの実がなる。また、季節の変化、天候や時間などによって表示が変化する。

その昔、たまごっちで遊んだ世代としては、はじめ愛嬌のつもりで買ったのですが・・・
これがハマりました！
昔とは比べ物になりません。
ミニゲームも楽しいですが、全体のゲーム性やデザイン、ボタンの反応等もかなり良くなっています。
なんと云ってもキャラクターが動き回る姿がカワイイ事。
白黒の頃は正直、ビットにしか見えませんでしたが、カラーになってちゃんとアニメしてます。
大人もハマる本格的なたまごっちだと思います。

難を言えば、キャラはもっと種類が欲しかった。
成長期のキャラが１２種類ぐらいなので、少し少ないと思いますね。

一度、やったら絶対ハマります！
