正直最近のたまごっちにあまり魅力を感じなくなっていたので買うかどうか迷っていたのですが、カラー液晶ということで買ってみました。買って良かったです。
何がいいかというととにかくキャラの可愛さですね。モノクロドット絵の素朴さはそれはそれでいいと思っていましたがカラーになるとめちゃめちゃいいです。ただ見ているだけでも幸せになります。

育成はたまごっち＋のしつけ＆電気消しがないやつに、ハッピーサインを見つけたり、部屋の模様がえをしたりというオプションがついた感じ。ケーたまからあった携帯電話やパソコンとの連携が無くなってしまったせいでお金を貯めるのが大変に感じます。その分アイテムや模様がえに時間がかかるので飽きにくいかも？

残念なのは、カラー化で電池の消耗が激しいせいか、せっかくのかわいいたまごっち画面が操作しないとすぐ消えてしまうことですかね。単4電池になって大型化したのも残念です。持ち歩きにくい大きさになってしまいました。

遊びの内容はこれまでのものとほとんど同じです。液晶がカラーになったので、キャラがとてもかわいいです。最新の映画に登場しているキャラも登場します。パスワードの入力により、ＥＸＩＬＥのキャラも登場しますよ。

基本的な育成モード以外に、家の模様替え（和風・山小屋風・オシャレな部屋等）が楽しめる。部屋以外に、キッチンやトイレ、部屋を出ることも可能。
行ける場所はアイテムを集めると増える。歩以外に電車、モノレールやヘリコプターに乗ることもできる。ウキウキの木という木を育てると、食べ物やアイテムの実がなる。また、季節の変化、天候や時間などによって表示が変化する。
