未だに根強い人気を誇る、アニメ天才バカボン・シリーズ。 一作目のバカボンに比べ、よりナンセンスな路線で、全103回の長寿番組となった。 この息の長い人気の秘密は、演歌調とシンセをうまくミックスした、テンポのいいキャッチーなBGMにあった!時代劇の劇伴や、「巨人の星」、「アタックNo.1」 などスポ根アニメ音楽で大家となって渡辺岳夫が、満を持して取り組んだ初のギャグ・アニメがこの「天才バカボン」だった。演歌・ムード歌謡の要素をうまく取り入れた「ナベタケ節」に加え、パトカーのサイレンの音を楽曲に被せてとぼけた味を出したり、ミュート・トランペットのコミカルな音でバカボンたちが歩く時の雰囲気を出したり、バカボンですっかり有名になったジョーハープによるボヨヨン音、大正琴、オートワウ、マリンバなどキッチュな楽器をふんだんに駆使して、バカボン・ワールドを音で表現している。

｢バカボン｣シリーズの中で唯一、未サントラ化だった本作のBGMをまとめた、まさに快挙とも言うべき音楽集でしたが、惜しい点がいくつか見受けられます。

まず、商品上で"STEREO/MONO"と表記されていますが、全曲モノラルです。ステレオ録音の筈の主題歌フルサイズ3曲が、何故かモノラルで入っていました。コロムビアから原盤を借りれば良いはずなのに、それが出来なかった理由でもあったのでしょうか。また、｢元祖天才バカボンの春｣のTVサイズも未収録になっています(これは｢東京ムービーアンソロジー2｣で補完可能ですが…)。

ライナーノートですが、渡辺岳夫氏が直接作曲していない楽曲(運命、葬送行進曲など)の作曲者が明記されておらず、歌関係のボーカル名が不完全なのも気になります(書いてあるのは｢パパはやっぱりすばらしい｣のみ)。そして、｢元祖天才バカボンの春｣の歌詞が収録されていません。スタッフは｢元祖天才バカボンの春｣に何か恨みでもあるんでしょうか(笑)。

あと、Mナンバー＋メモ＋楽器名という曲名は、どういう意図によるものでしょうか。ちょっと首を傾げてしまいます。

あれこれ言ってしまいましたが、個人的な収穫は、｢新ルパン｣｢がんばれ!!タブチくん!!｣に流用されたファンファーレ調の曲が入っていたことです。予告テーマとして使われた、48曲目の｢M32 ジングル〜ドラムロール｣です。思えば｢元祖バカボン｣｢新ルパン｣｢タブチくん｣、すべて選曲が鈴木清司氏でしたね(笑)。

ついに発売となった「元祖」のＢＧＭ総集盤！
迫って来るゲタが印象的な「サブタイトル曲」が無い！
　　　　残念！
トラックの後半が、聞き覚えのある曲が多い。
予告編曲や、おまわりさんが暴れる曲、葬送行進曲等
バカボンとパパ、そしてバカ他大学後輩たちとの
キ●ガイ的なやりとりが思い浮かびます。

ipodに入れようと思ったらアルバム情報が
ありませんでした。
全５５曲のタイトルをいちいち打ち込むのは面倒臭い
