内容紹介

「百年の孤独」は2008年10月公開映画「真救世主伝説 北斗の拳 ZERO ケンシロウ伝」主題歌となっており、このテーマ曲の話を受けて、メンバーにより書き上げられた意欲作。
ケンシロウの生き様を詩いながらも、この無常な現代に生きる我々の背中をもそっと押してくれるような歌詞、アナログシンセやオーケストラサウンドなど異質なものが溶け合い、どこか国籍のない、果ての土地へ旅をしているかのようなイメージをさせるアレンジ、そしてそんな世界全てを包み込むように優しくも力強く響くボーカルなど、クリエーター集団GARNET CROWによる北斗の拳の世界観が凝縮された作品となっています。

「北斗の拳zero」は未見ですが「北斗の拳」の世界観は、私も理解ありです。
タイアップ曲として、どうか？とはともかくとして以下、私が各曲の思うところです。

1.曲の出だし近くのシンバル音？がいかにもな味を出してます。
悠久な時の流れを感じるミディアムテンポでも力強い音群が絡みあいながら曲の終盤まで続くのが素晴らしいです。曲の終盤近くに少し曲のテンポが一時的に早まるところも好きですね。

2.神秘めいたメロディアスな曲の部分も良いのですが、なんといっても由利さんのスゴミがきいた(？)ヴォーカルが魅力的です！
楽曲としては今回の3曲の中で私が一番好きな曲でもあります。

3.はずむようなリズム感もある、明るい曲ですね。

個人的には、2、3曲目の曲は「百年の孤独」対象的な賑やかな方向性の曲も収録で、今作のこのシングルは、全体としてすごく気に入っています。あと、1〜2曲があれば十分なミニアルバムにもなると思いました。
ただ、ガネクロ初期の曲の方向性が好きな方にはシングル全体としても、やはり騒がしい音のガネクロと思われると感じました。
（インストで聴くとより分かりますが）3曲とも、岡本さんのギター音もよく聴こえます。

今回の通常盤では3曲ともインスト収録(3曲インスト収録は初？)で楽曲のみ自体がじっくり聴けるのも◎です！

「百年の孤独」といえば、PVではモノクロ映像でガネクロのメンバーが登場も印象的でした。
映像的には年末に2007年末の「二和寺」での野外ライブがいよいよDVD化なのも楽しみです。
そろそろブルーレイ化したタイトルも発表しないのですかね？

彼等らしさが存分に詰まった一曲です。彼等としては最大級のタイアップであることから、期待度も高くなるでしょう。ちなみにタイトルの「百年の孤独」とは1960年代にアルゼンチンで出版され、全世界の文学に多大な影響を与えた小説のタイトルでもあります。過去にも「青い花」という未完の作品を残しているノヴァーリスの名を詞に取り入れていたことがあり、作詞担当のAZUKI氏の文学に対する造詣の深さが伺えます。

百年の孤独はやや重い雰囲気のバラード調な感覚で、前回のシングル曲よりも少し重厚なほうに振った感じの印象を持ちましたが、ガーネットの好さが出ていていい作品だと感じました。

カップリングのほうはLOCKSのイメージを引き継いでいる感じがします。
ロック調のイメージが強く、かなり音が多く賑やかな印象を受けました。
この傾向が好きな方にはよいのではないかと思います。

個人的には「The Twilight Valley」の頃までのせつなさと渋さを感じる楽曲イメージのほうが好きなので4点としました。
