FRUITS CLiPPER以降から今へ続くクラブミュージック仕様へのシフトチェンジですが、中田ヤスタカ氏が好きな音楽の
傾向をその瞬間その瞬間にアルバム化しているという観点から言うと正解なわけです。

昔の渋谷系が好きだった人にはその変革に驚きの連続でしょうが、元々capsule自身が中田氏の「今」を投影させてい
るユニットなので、シフトチェンジも必然だったという事です。

本作は、前作の「FLASH BACK」の作風を引き継ぎつつも更に攻撃性と柔軟性を兼ね備えた希有なアルバムに感じます。
「JUMPER」「e.d.i.t.」は前者、「Pleasure ground」「Adventure」は後者に当たるかと。
「Phantom」は今迄の流れからまず出てこない曲なのですが、新鮮に聴けて楽しいです。

とにかく、どの音も主従関係が並列で、どの音も必要だと思わせる所が真骨頂です。
（彼もインタビューではその都度、「歌声が特別視されるのはオカシイ。全てを構成する音がお互いに求めあっている
様に聴こえなければ気持ち悪い。」と答えています。）

CMで先行して聴けた「more more more」はCM用とはガラッとアレンジを変えてよりビートとのコントラストが効い
ていて、アルバムでの統一感が増しています。

ともかく、大音量で聴くにも、ヘッドホン/イヤホンで聴くにも濃いアルバムである事に間違い無し。

内容としては前作「flash back」を踏襲したもの。しかし単に同じものを繰り返しているのではなく、前作から変化していると感じた部分がありました。

「jumper」は前作に多く収録されていたとんがったかんじの曲とは毛色が異なるし、「adventure」や「pleaser ground」はご無沙汰であったポップな曲調に仕上がっています。他に随分と落ち着いた雰囲気の曲や前作の曲調が好きだった人の期待に応える曲もあり、多様性に富んでいるような気がしました。

気になった点として
・収録曲をもう少し多くして欲しい(駄曲が多くなっても意味がないことは分かりますがもう少し･･)
・特典のDVDにメイキングの様子なども収録して欲しかった

といったところです。本作を聴いている時も曲をスキップすることなく聴いています。(捨て曲なし)次回作も期待しています。

中田氏って「こういう曲好きだろ？」的なアプローチではなく
「この曲は絶対かっこいい。」と強引にリスナーをcapsuleワールドに引きずり込む力のようなものがあるのではないでしょうか。
僕自身、実際capsule聴き始めて他のラウンジ・Ｊハウスなど音楽視野が拡がりました。

Pleasure Ground、朝に聴くと身が引き締まります！
中田氏の才能には脱帽しました。
