内容紹介

本人出演のミュージカル「RENT」をテーマにしたオリジナルSGブロードウェイミュージカル「RENT」主題歌『SEASONS OF LOVE』をサンプリングしたオリジナル曲。K本人が準主役ロジャーに決定。11月から日本公演開始です。「RENT」ブロードウェイ公演は今年9月をもって幕を閉じます。日本初のブロードウェイ方式による公演で日本で再スタートします。プロデューサーであるエリカ・シュミットがKの歌を聴いたところ、ロジャー役はKしかいない!との指名で今回の出演が決定しました。代表曲『SEASONS OF LOVE』は“夢を持って生きる事とは”“生きていく喜びとは”といった人間の根源を歌に込めたメッセージソングで、スティービー・ワンダーを代表に世界中でリスペクトされている楽曲。日本では、加藤ミリヤ、SEAMOなどR&B,HIPHOPのアーティスト達がMY FAVORITEであげているタイトル。"K"の持っているR&Bシンガーとしての世界観が胸に迫る作品に仕上がります。

Kさんシングルとしては初、3曲ともオリジナル曲でどれもミュージカル『RENT』の有名な主題歌「Seasons of Love」からインスパイアされて作られた曲です。タイトル曲はゴスペル風で一緒にクラップしながら歌いたくなる元気をもらえる曲、2曲めは壮大なスケールを感じさせる歌声の魅力全開のバラード（女性目線の歌詞も新鮮！）、Kさん作詞作曲の3曲めは彼自身の人間性（本当に素敵な若者！）が感じられ、ストレートな歌詞が弾き語りのように強く胸に響きます。3曲それぞれの形で確かに「Seasons of Love」が盛り込まれていて、そこから受けるメッセージも合わせてどれも胸にグッと来ます。Kさんファンだけでなく、『RENT』に関心ある方、Kさん初めての方にもぜひ聴いてほしい1枚です。

有名なミュージカル「ＲＥＮＴ」…
最初は大した「おっ」も無く、惰性でリピートしている内に段々と「おっ」になり、今はミュージカルを見に行きたい（ＲＥＮＴで歌うＫの歌声を全部聴きたい！！！」になってます。

2008年11月7日より日比谷のシアタークリエで上演される、ミュージカル「RENT」にて
物語の中心となるキャラクター「ロジャー」を演じるダブルキャストの一人であるＫが
このミュージカルのテーマ曲ともいえる「Seasons of Love」を大胆に自分流の言葉で歌ったものがこの曲です。
