日本人が縦乗りがダメと誰が決めた？ ルックス悪いとダメと誰が決めた？ I氏、S氏出て来い！ 世間的に売れたので本作は論外的に持ち上げていても、バンドの本質を判っていない君等の論評こそ論外だ。様式美が時に邪魔臭い日本人だって居てるのだ。全てを飲み込んだ名盤。文句のある奴はかかってもこんかい！

常にストレート＆ハード、タイト＆ラウドなサウンドメイクで迫ってくる、謂わば、小細工なしのサウンドは、後年の若手HR/HMバンドの連中が賛辞を惜しまない作品の一つとして本作('80年作)が度々登場することからも窺い知れます。
ハード・ロック好きの方、なかんずく、ギター好きの方は恐らく同じ思いを抱かれるのではないかと思いますが、私がある意味AC/DCを偉い！と思うは、楽曲におけるリフの素晴らしさです。ある意味、マンネリになりがちなハードロック系のリフにおいて、これ程ヴァラエティ豊かなリフを次々に生み出してくるA.ヤング(g)/M.ヤング(g)はやはり只者ではないなぁと思うわけです。
本作を作成する前にヴォーカルのB.スコットを失うという事態に見舞われるものの、見事にそれを乗り越え、新voのB.ジョンソンも無理なくAC/DCのフロントを演じることで、バンドとして更に人気と実力がアップした事が判る作品かと思います。
