今までよくヒュー・グラントが演じる、女にだらしなく、いまひとつはっきりしない男性と、サンドラ・ブロック演じる才媛が主役のラブコメ。お互いの気持ちに気がつかなくて、気がついた時には遅かった・・・みたいな展開ですが、最後にヒュー・グラントがサンドラ・ブロックに言う言葉には、心が温かくなって、ついつい涙が出ちゃいます。
ボーナストラックでは、映画のその後の二人を見ることができます。

5.0 out of 5 stars 上流階級の人としての大きさと、どこか抜けている部分を見れる映画。, 2009/5/29
世界的な大富豪でハンサムであるが自分一人では何もできない男と、ハーバード卒で有能な女性弁護士との葛藤を描いた作品。

生まれた時から大企業の御曹司として育てられ、何不自由なく暮らしていた男性は優秀な弁護士はいないかと探していた。
ちょうどその時、貧困撲滅の一環として地元住民の憩いの場となっていたコミュニティーセンターの保存を働きかていた女性弁護仕は、大富豪のこの男性に保存を呼び掛けるために声をかけた。
そこでのやりとりから男性は彼女を気に入り、主任弁護士として雇うようになる。

しかし、男性は彼女を主任弁護士というよりは、何でも相談できる相談屋として扱う。
それは、彼女が有能である訳だからであるが、夜中でもお構いなしに電話をかけたりするほど、度を越えた男性の振る舞いに我慢の限界となり、辞める決心をする。

辞めたことで好きな弁護士の仕事に専念することができ、生き生きと生活していく。
そんな何もかもが順調な生活を送っている彼女のもとに、男性が訪れてくる。
男性は生まれて初めて、自分で書いたラブレターを彼女の前で読み上げ、気持ちを伝える。
お互いがお互いを思っていたことを改めて知り、新たな生活が始まっていく。


この映画は『プラダを着た悪魔』ととても似ています。
基本的に上流階級の生活が流されており、また上司と部下の息の合ったような合わないような日々が続いていきます。
紆余曲折が繰り返され、最後は幸せを迎えるわけですが、淡泊な印象を受けました。

この映画を見て感じられるのは
・頭がキレることの素晴らしさ
・お金と夢を持つことのすばらしさ
