俗にネオアコという範疇にくくられる８０年代バンドのＣＤは、
Style Council、Aztec Camera、The Smiths等を除くと、
廃盤状態、入手困難が続いていて、寂しい状況です。
そんな中で、大御所LOTUS EATERSの名盤がボートラ付きで待望のリリースとなりました。
発売に尽力いただいたスタッフの感性と努力に感謝感謝ですね。
おおよそ国内プレスが困難だったのか、英国プレス盤を日本パッケージしてのリリース。
そして今回は、紙ジャケリイシューです！！
価格は張りますが、それだけの価値有るリリースだと思います。
コアなネオアコファンならずとも必携の一品です。
今後も、数ある眠ったネオアコの名盤を、これを例にリリースして欲しいものです。

もちろん当時の青臭い連中の中でも一際青臭い、もうホントにたまらない青春の(笑)一枚であることには異論はございません。

でも彼らの音はアコースティックじゃなくて打ち込み中心のシンセポップですよね?
もう基本的すぎてツッこむのもアレですが(-"-;)
(ちなみに当時は多少イノセントなTFFだと思っていた)

もしかして80年代前半の英国モノは何でもかんでも[ネオアコ]括りにしとけば、フ●ッ●ーズあたりから入った人が騙されて買うと思われてますかね〜?

まあでも、もし騙されて買ったとしても、絶対損はさせません。
甘酸っぱいキモチになりたい方にオススメ♪

長いこと廃盤状態で、中古にやたらなプレミアム価格がついていて手を出せないでいましたが、新品が適正価格で手に入れられる様になったことを感謝したいです。
当時は友人からＬＰを借り、カセットにダビングして聴いていましたが、そのテープも紛失し、友人とも疎遠になっていましたので感激もひとしおです。
こんなことをレビューでわざわざ書かずにはいられない位に素晴らしい作品です。

アズテックカメラ/ハイランドハードレインの清涼感とペイルファウンテンズ/パシフィックストリートのセンチメンタリズムを融合させた様な感じだと個人的には思いますが、
日本においてネオアコと称されたバンドの中で、最も気楽に単純に音楽を楽しめるアルバムです。頭が音楽を分析しようとせず、カラッポになり無垢な状態で音楽がスッと入ってきます。
1曲目のジャーマンガールからもうワクワクすること必至です。

歌詞カードとタイトルを較べると、もしかしてオリジナルから３曲カットされているのかな？
その代り、元々未収録だったシングル等が追加されています。
