タフネスを追求し、機能を特化した「Master of G」シリーズから、カラーテーマシリーズ「Men in Rescue Orange」が登場。過酷な現場で活動するレスキュー隊などで使用されるオレンジをテーマカラーに採用。オレンジは視認性が高く、防護服等に使用されるカラーでブラックと組み合わせたカラーリングは、過酷な状況下でも駆動するG-SHOCKのタフネスとレスキュー活動などのハードなイメージを表現している。ELバックライトには、救助現場などで使用される多目的工具の万能斧を採用。過酷な状況下でも時を刻む新シリーズです。
本格TC(タイムコントロール)ラリー仕様で、SS(スペシャルステージ)と呼ばれる走行時間を競うタイムトライアル区間と、タイムコントロール(リエゾン)と呼ばれる指定のルートを正確な時間で走る区間とで構成されるラリー競技の時間計測に対応したラリーモードを搭載しました。また、夜間のレースを想定し、ターゲットタイマー告知やオートスタートカウントダウン時の報音連動ライト発光、ライト残照時間切替機能なども内蔵。
中国を含めた世界6局の電波を受信するマルチバンド6、タフソーラー、マルチアラームな実用スペックも備えたマッドマンです。

メーカーがラリー仕様と言うからややこしくなっただけで。目標時間の設定が１０通りあらかじめ設定することができて、経過時間を計る機能があり、目標時間が来れば光と音で知らせてくれるのですから、カップラーメンの時間を測ったり、決められた時間にパソコンやゲームをする時に非常に簡単に時間の設定ができるので非常に使いやすい時計だと思います。

マッドマンは元々はラリーでのメカニックマンの作業時での使用を想定して作られたものです。私にとってはこのモデルはマッドマンらしからぬ代物に感じています。ラリーマンですかね。しかも、色はレスキューオレンジとは！　ラリーで事故でもあったのでしょうか。ストーリー性がないなあ。

ラリーに限定されることなく、色々なフィールドでも装着してて役に立つと思います。工事現場など土やほこりまみれになるような所なんかでは一番いんじゃないかな、人それぞれ好みはあると思いますが、僕は今までのGの中で一番気に入ってます。これは余談ですがレスキュー隊の方達に是非装着してほしいですね。
