DVD最終巻となった第６巻で、満を持してのアクションシーンが繰り広げられる！
今までまったりとした人情エピソードや美しい江戸情緒が中心の世界だったので非常に痛快な
朽葉と露草の剣劇シーン。
商家の長い塀や屋根を弾ける様に跳躍し刀を交える場面は、漫画原作より遥かにスケール大きく空間を駆使し
妖を憎悪する女剣士と妖幹部の正面激突にふさわしい。
戦闘シーンだけでなく、鴇時の過去の思い出を畳みかける様に重ねる事によって、今様の行き場のない悲しみは自然と観る者に感情移入させてしまう丁寧な演出だ。
そしてクライマックスの銀朱vs帝天。
帝天＆数多の神仏が出現する瞬間から始まる暗い異世界も、更に広がる壮大なファンタジー観を予感させる。
キャラの立ち位置がやっと確定した所でTV放映は終わってしまったが、これは是非アニメ２期を期待したい。
最終回だけの特別EDには続編を作りたいスタッフのこの作品への強い愛着が感じられる。
全てのキャラクターの立場、想いを細やかに描いているから。
