アーティストについて

アメリカ/テキサス州出身、21歳のロック系シンガーソングライター。ソロ・アーティストを目指して18歳の時にLAに引っ越し、デモテープを録り始める。そのデモテープを聴いたアメリカン・ハイファイのステイシー・ジョーンズ(vo/ds/g)はキャンディスのメロディをとても気に入り、すぐにバンド・メンバーのジェイミー・アレンゼン(g/vo)と共にスタジオに入る。そして遂に完成したアルバム『イッツ・オールウェイズ・ジ・イノセント・ワンズ』で、2008年10月、待望の日本デビュー!

5.0 out of 5 stars アメリカの超・人気バンドがプロデュースした、期待のガールズ新人！, 2008/9/11
これはもうテンションあがりまくりました。
ジャンルはガールズ・ロックなんですが、
かなりバンドっぽいサウンドで、カッティング・ギター系で始まる曲も多く、
他のガールズにはいないタイプです。
ところが、サビでバクハツ、もうガーリー・テイスト・バリバリで、
これは例えるなら、
クリスタル・マイヤーズのデビュー作のようなサビの盛り上がり、
スカイ・スウィートナムのような表情豊かな歌質に、
ミシェル・ブランチ系の曲や、切ないバラードもありで、素晴らしいです。
とにかく声質がいいですね。
プロデュース/作曲/演奏がアメリカン・ハイファイのメンバー達っていうのも、
びっくりしたのですが、新人のガールズのデビュー作で、ほとんどの曲を
超・人気バンドがプロデュース＆演奏までしたのは恐らく初だと思います。
とにかくレベルの高いデビュー作です。

雑誌で見るまで、まったくノーマークだったので、
PC配信サイトで誌聴しまくった挙句、我慢できずにDLしましたが、
CD楽しみです。買いますよ。
今はもうないマドンナのレーベル、マーヴェリックと契約していたそうなので、
どおりでクオリティ高いわけですね。。。

彼女のデビューアルバムです。
とにかく歌は上手いし曲もいい出来です。
最近音沙汰のなかったアメハイのメンバープロデュースということで、
間違いないです。ガールズロック好き＆アメハイ好きには最高な１枚です。
♯１なんてもろアメハイ節全開だし(笑)
琴線に触れるフック満載で日本人受けすること請け合いです！！

ついにっ、ようやく待ち望んだ日本デビューですっ！！
もう３年以上も前、シングルが出るか出ないかという頃からチェックしていたので、まずは日本盤が出るというだけでかなり嬉しいです。

アメリカン・ハイファイのステイシーとジェイミー(Hi-Fi-Killers)がプロデュースし、演奏も担当しているとあって、かなりバンド・サウンド全開で普段は女性voは聴かないという人でも聴きやすいかも！？

テイスト的には、ひとことでいうと1stのアヴリルのようなパワフルさに、チェリーレッド(Cherryred)のような本格的なロックサウンドを兼ね備えた、最近少ないガーリー・ロック。

歌声も、楽曲も、ルックスも最高ですが、最近では女優業もやっているようで日本では公開されなさそうですが、主役・準主役級でちらほらと映画に出演しています。
今後、いろんな面で期待がもてそうな期待の大型新人ですっ！
