映画 “蛇にピアス” 主題歌 「きえる」 をはじめCharaの世界観で書き下ろしたアナザーリリックVer. 「kiss」 を収録し、ミュージカル “アニー”の名曲 「Tomorrow」 (アステラス製薬企業CMソング)、サザンオールスターズの名曲 「Ya Ya (あの時代を忘れない)」 、Chara×ハナレグミで歌ったシンディ・ローパーの名曲 「Time After Time」 のカヴァー曲含む全5曲を収録した贅沢なミニアルバムが完成!!!


アーティストについて

1991年、「Heaven」でデビュー。オリジナリティ溢れる楽曲に強烈な存在感の声が生み出す世界観で人気を得て、音楽だけにとどまらず、個性の強いキャラクターとファッションで人気を集め、ファッション誌やCFに多数登場している。1995年岩井俊二監督「PICNIC」にて映画初出演。1996年映画、同監督作品『スワロウテイル』に出演、劇中でVocalで参加したバンド『YEN TOWN BAND』が大ヒット!!翌年1997年リリースしたアルバム「Junior Sweet」は120万枚のセールスを記録した。常にエッジ感のある作家、アーティストとコラボレートし話題を呼んでいるアーティスト。今作でメジャー・レーベルからリリースされたオリジナル・フル・アルバムとしては10枚目のアルバムとなる。

『Ya Ya(あの時代を忘れない)』のカバーは期待してたどうり癒し系で満足しました。全体的にスローテンポな楽曲たちの心地よい流れにやさしさ、切なさを感じさせる歌唱は素晴らしい物があります。ミニアルバムだけあってアーティストの魅力が凝縮されているという印象を受けました、アーティストCHARAの気合いを感じました。

CMで聞いた「Tomorrow」目当てだったんですが意外にも「きえる」にやられてしまいました。
Charaの歌う切なさって共感できるんだけど普通直視できないものだと思うんです。まともに向き合うと思考がカオスな方向に行っちゃってどこまでも落ちて行ってしまうような…危ういものを孕んでいると。そんな問題に真っ向と立ち向かって表現する彼女は本当に強い女性だと思います。
