ロイヤルハントのフォース・アルバム、『パラドックス』のリマスター再発盤です。このアルバムは彼らの他のアルバムと大きく違っております。まず、コンセプトアルバムという事。宗教の持つ矛盾について全8曲を通して訴えかけています。そして、各楽曲の殆どがつながっており、1曲の演奏時間が長め(平均7分)だという事です。シンフォニック・アレンジは過去最強で、耳に残るメロディーのオンパレードです。アルバム全体が暗い雰囲気で、初期作品を好む方にとっては受けが良くないでしょうが、音楽を通して何かを考えたい、感じたいという方にはピッタリのアルバムです。特に素晴らしいのは、イントロで瞬殺の３、『Tearing Down The World』、アコースティックギターが奏でる叙情的なイントロがとにかく印象的な名バラードの５、『Long Way Home』、１０分超えの超大作である６『Time Will Tell』です。ちなみに、７、『Silent Screme』から８、『It's Over』への引継ぎ方が神がかっています！ラストに相応しいこの２曲もまた文句のつけようのない名曲です。ロイヤルハント最高傑作との呼び声も多いこの作品、是非お試しあれ。

とにかく4曲目の「メッセージ・トゥ・ゴッド」に尽きる。
イントロと歌いだしの間が壮大過ぎて感動的。
これから何かとてつもない事が起こってしまうような雰囲気のあまりの神々しさに鳥肌が立つ。
