こんなに心地よいハーモニーは久しぶり。
石垣島出身の急成長の元インデーズで、独特の「沖縄メロディ」は少々飽き飽きするものがあったので、あえてカバー盤の本作品を聴いてみた。
二人のハーモニーは本物であり、感情をこめるとかとか何より歌が上手く、国際級といっても過言ではないと思う。
基本的にはリズム感がいいので各曲ともどっしり感がある。この歌声ならの何でも歌え、長続きするアーチストとなるに違いない。

彼女たちの音楽のルーツを感じつつ、やなわらばーの歌唱を心から堪能できるアルバム。
すでに耳になじんで、音楽が想像できてしまいそうな沖縄の名曲に、彼女たちの歌声とハーモニーが新しい命を与えている。
「沖縄系」以外の曲では、「ＴＳＵＮＡＭＩ」には新鮮な驚きを感じた。完璧にやなわらばーの世界になっている。
このアルバムをいわゆる「癒し系」と捉えることは誤りではないし、聴き進むうちに心が開いていく自分を感じることができた。しかし、単純に「癒し系」とジャンル分けするには、あまりに深く、また志が高い。
多分このアルバムは１０年後に聴いても古くなっていないだろう。

今回のやなわらばーさんのカバー楽曲集、個々のよさも大変良いいのですが今何故この様なアルバムCDのリリースをと思いました。

何回も聴いているうちに私なりに感じたものは、彼女たちはこのアルバムの歌全曲を通して彼女たちの足跡と、彼女たちが守りたい心を伝えたかったのではないでしょうか？

最初の曲“花”は、沖縄県出身で有名な喜納昌吉(きな・しょうきち)さんの作詞作曲の作品から始まり、“イラヨイ月夜浜”、“島人ぬ宝”に至るまでの一つ一つの曲の中に、やなわらばーさんお２人の生まれ育った沖縄県地方への想いや、幼い頃から今日に至るまでの彼女たちの足跡への想いを唄で綴ったものだと思います。

前回の“歌ぐすい”とはまた違う爽やかな感じのするアルバムだと思いました。
