昨今の娯楽映画音楽ですと、さしずめダニー･エルフマンといった名前が一番に挙げられるのかも知れませんが、やはり(と言いますか超極個人的には(^^;)バート･バカラック氏を挙げない訳にはいきません。
自らこのB.バカラック･サウンドによるサウンドトラックへの参加を名乗り出た(と言われている)クリストファー･クロスによる[1]は見事にシングル曲としても大ヒット。流石にバカラック･サウンド(そして勿論コンビであるキャロル･ベヤセイガーのリリックも)健在。
＃インストで奏でられる[9]が、もう堪らなくバカラック調。まるで"明日に向かって撃て"の音楽を思い出させます。
また、ニコレット･ラーソンが歌う[2]、アンブロージアの[3]、スティーブン･ビショップの[4]と、何れも甲乙つけ難い素晴らしいナンバーが憎らしいほど上手く配されています。

いや〜、このサントラがＣＤ化されていたとは、
長く生きてみるものです。（笑）

何といっても、８０年代の始まりはこのサントラと言ってもよいでしょう。

クリストファー・クロスのタイトルソングだけでなく、
２曲目に収録されているニコレット・ラーソンの曲、
４曲目のスティーブン・ビショップなど、
プレイした瞬間から８０年代の初頭にタイムスリップさせてくれます。
あぁ、懐かしい・・・。

同年のエンドレス・ラブ（Endless Love）、翌年のトッツィー（Tootsie）など、
再発が待たれるサントラですね。

売り切れる前に、早く入手しましょう。

おおっ〜！出たんだ！！
うれしいですね。今でもこのサントラを愛聴していますが、今回はデジタル・リマスターされたものということで購入しました。
やはり音質のレベルも向上し、音の広がりもグッと良くなっています。

全米３週間ＮＯ．１に輝いた「ニューヨーク・シティ・セレナーデ/クリストファー・クロス」はもちろんのこと、バート・バカラックとキャロル・ベイヤー・セイガーが作詞、作曲し、ニコレット・ラーソンが魅力的に歌うバラード「フール・ミー・アゲイン」そして「プア・リッチ・ボーイ/アンブロージア」、またこれも美しい曲「貴方とともに・スティーヴン・ビショップ」とＡＯＲの佳曲が収録されています。

このアルバムは全米チャート３２位をマークしました。
