メジャー作としては前作となるフタリノワタシに比べると、
音楽の方向性がはっきりしはじめたかなという印象。
非常に良い作品集としてまとまっている。

前回はクラシックベースに現代popsの要素を融合させるタイプで、
今回はpopsベースにクラシックの歌唱技術を詰め込むか、
またはあの独特の旋律を完全にpops特化している。

前作だと、クラシックベースにするには音楽が無機質過ぎて
音楽の良さを音が殺している印象だった。

今回は耳になじみの良いpops曲と
歌い手がクラシック的な手法を組み込んだ曲が折り混ざっている。
無機質ながら力強さのあるシンセのストリングスも
非常に効果的な演出で、音楽作品として魅力あるものが構築される。
特に今回は多重コーラスとピアノの使い方が秀逸。

love solfegeというアーティストの方向性が
はっきり示せた作品と言えるのではないだろうか。
特定のジャンルに縛られない独特な旋律は、
ツボにはまってしまえば簡単には抜け出せないだろう。

ちょっとこのアーティストは経歴が複雑なのですが、取りあえずこのアルバム自体は同人時代に作った曲のベストと捉えてください。ですから、ある意味このアルバムが本来の「love solfege」の姿であるといえます。

さてこのアーティストのウリはなんといっても「現代風クラシカル」。曲全体を通してクラシカルという雰囲気こそあれ、決してありふれたリズムを刻まない。独特の打ち込みや工夫を凝らし、「ラブジュ」という一つのジャンルを作り出しているようにも思えます。

ただ、いわゆるゴシック的な雰囲気を持つ「乙女ゲー」などの主題歌等として使われた曲も多く入っておりますので、そこだけは事前に注意しておきましょう（曲によってはややアニソン風味である、ということです）。しかし良い曲は多いです。「due destini」などは、ベルカント唱法で謳われているのですが、歌い手さんの歌唱力が本当に素晴らしく、確かに教会的なイメージを残しつつも独特なリズムを刻み、常に見せ場が続いていきます。この曲を聴くためだけにこのアルバムを買っても損はしないはずですよ。
