　単純な感想としては、思っていた以上に聴きやすい作品でした。正直既存の曲をアレンジを変えて演奏するよりも完全な新作を待ち望んでいた自分としては物足りないんじゃないかとあまり期待はしてなかったけれど、この作品はそんな私が想像していた内容とは全く別次元のものでしたね。まず収録曲数に関してもたった７曲しかないと思われるかもしれないけど、一枚のアルバムとして通して聴くのにはベストな時間に収められてます。一曲一曲の曲時間が長く作られているためなんだけど、決してだるさを覚えるものでもありませんでした。実際何度も聴き返したくなる上質な構成だし、繰り返し聴くことによってリスナーに深い感動を与えてくれるのだと確信させてくれると思います。派手すぎず、控えめすぎずのサウンドをバックに歌う清春さんの声は、楽器とは違う確かな「リズム」を持って曲を届けてくれました。今作ではいつもの独特な歌いまわしというよりも素直かつ指先の神経にまで気を張り詰めたような繊細な声の発し方が感じられるので、また新しい境地を見た気がしました。自分的に一番印象に残ったのは「光」。セカンドアルバムの収録曲なんだけど、もう今作のアレンジで全く違った印象を放っていましたね。（もちろんいい意味で。）変な言い方だけど、とにかくはまればはまるほどに「浸れる」つくりになってます。
　同時発売の「ｓｈａｄｅ」と比べれば、聴き手（ファン）の人たちに「優しさ」を差し伸べるような世界観をもつ曲で構成されてるような気がしました。ただこのＣＤに収められたバージョンは原曲と比べても、より一層誠実で深い愛がこもっているというのを実感してもらえると思うので（特にラストの曲！！）、ぜひとも多くの方に聴いてもらえたらいいなと思います。
　２枚同時発売なので、両方買うのは結構出費がかさむので、あまり清春さんのＣＤを買ったことがない方にはシングル曲やファンに人気の高いバンド時代の曲も収録されているので、どちらかといえば入り込みやすいのはこちらのアルバムの方かも。

15thを迎えた清春の2枚同時発売
RHYTHMLESS & PERSPECTIVE ALBUM「saw the light and shade」の
こちらは「light」です。
付属DVDは「空」のPV収録

エレクトロニカ系ともブリストルサウンドとも言えるサウンドながら
そこにも正確には属すことの出来ない不思議でアーティスティックなアルバムです。

収録曲数は少ないですが全曲7分超えで内容はたっぷり。

全編に渡って曲スピードは遅く退廃的でモノクロなイメージな曲調ですが、
光も強く感じさせ、ある意味での「美意識」「ゴス」の形ではないでしょうか。

清春さんの歌声は純粋に非常に歌唱力が上がっており、キャリアとスキルを感じさせる
歌い上げになっています。

歌メロは溜めて歌うことが多いくらいで、原曲とあまり変わりませんが
曲調は激変しており、聞き込んできた人間にとって新鮮であり刺激的。

「空」では、後半の語りと歌の掛け合いが非常に良い。
新曲「pledge」は緊張感と高揚感のある曲。
「至上のゆりかご」は15thのすべてが収束しているような
様々な思いが巡る曲。
「HORIZON」「君の事が」はLIVEでのフィーリングを感じさせる曲。

全体的なスピードは遅いですがそれでも非常に刺激的で
聞き流すことのできない重厚な作品です。
LIVEと並行して作られたせいかLIVEでのフィーリングが強く印象的です。
生々しい「清春」というアーティストに触れている感覚に陥ります。

黒夢〜SADSとロックサウンドが好きだった昔のファンの人にも一度聴いて欲しい作品。
ロックサウンドだとかバンドサウンドだとか
そんなカテゴリーを超越した純粋な「アーティスト」としての「清春」が聴けます。
そして「アーティスト清春」は「今、凄いことになっている」と実感も感じさせます。

本当に「素晴らしい」の一言。
