タイトルどおり、紀元前の世界を驚異のVFXと特大スケールのセットによって映像化。超大作映画が得意のローランド・エメリッヒ監督らしい一作だ。狩猟民族の村で暮らすデレーが、幼なじみで将来を約束した女性エバレットがさらわれたことで、村を出て未知の土地へ冒険に出る。マンモスを狩り、サーベルタイガーや怪鳥と戦い、文明をもった民族と出会う物語は、はっきり言ってかなり強引。しかも紀元前1万年としての時代考証はメチャクチャなので、要所でツッコミを入れたくなるはずだ。
　ひたすら映像に驚くつもりで観れば、それなりに楽しめる作品である。主人公の目の前で牙をむくタイガーや、ピラミッド建設のために巨石を引きずるマンモスの行進は、大画面で観ると圧倒的な迫力。『アラビアのロレンス』を意識したような美しいシーンも登場する。さらにアフリカのナミビアの海岸に、高さ60mにもおよぶ神殿のセットを作ってしまう豪快さにハリウッドのパワーを感じれば、さまざまな疑問点も吹き飛ぶかもしれない。名優オマー・シャリフの朗々たるナレーションが、作品全体に重厚感を与えている。（斉藤博昭）

紀元前というタイトルに興味を持ち購入しました。
せっかくの時代背景も生かされてない感じに思えます。
眠たくなるストーリー、記憶に残らない音楽。
別に紀元前という設定も必要なかったのではないかな。
確かに映像は綺麗なんですが、ただそれだけ。

レンタルだけでも充分だと思います。

かなり期待して見た作品のひとつです。
前半は、期待通りで、紀元前の雰囲気もあり、マンモスとの戦いも見ものでした。
恋人を他の部族にさらわれてからは、ちょっと雰囲気が変わり、英雄ものに見られる不死身の主人公的作品で、ちょっとリアル感に欠けるところが残念です。
後半は如何にもローランドエメリッヒらしくあのスターゲートを思い出します。
迫力と壮大さと大人数によるどよめきが大作のイメージを良く出しています。
でも、私が期待した紀元前１万年はこうではなかったという思いを強く感じます。
良くも悪くもローランドエメリッヒが好きな人には、お勧めの１本ですが、題名から別の期待を持つ人には、ちょっとどうかな？というところです。
また、青い目の少女が最後にあれ？という結末はがっかりでした。
こういった、私なりの基準を当てはめて星３つですが、純粋に迫力あるアクション映画としては、星４つ以上の実力はあると思います。

ローランド・エメリッヒ監督は、宇宙へ、未来へ、誰も体験したことのない世界へ連れて行ってくれる。精密なBlu-ray Discなら感動も倍増だ。そして今回は紀元前１万年の世界へ・・。でも、何回か見て感じることは、第一にでっかいマンモスやサーベルタイガーがまるで本当に生きた動物のように画面に登場するものの、「重量」が感じられないこと。そこまでCGに期待するのは未だ無理か・・。第二にカミーラ・ベルがきれいすぎること。人類の頭部骨格は今と変わりないとしても、１万年前の、小汚い、臭い、髪ボサボサの人類ではありません。第三に物語が途中から「ヒーロー」ものに折れていくこと。予告編では「最初のヒーロー」と断って？いるものの、映画の前半はそのような流れではありません。最後に129分の映像特典はいくらなんでも不必要に長すぎる。デモ、以上のインネン付けをさっぴいても星４つありますデ。
