内容紹介

『見る前に跳べ』でのはっぴいえんどとの共演に続き、今回は柳田ヒログループ(柳田ヒロ、高中正義ほか)を従えて制作されたサードアルバム。ゲストとしてデビュー前のはちみつぱい~ムーンライダーズの鈴木慶一が参加。『見る前に跳べ』からの流れともいえるロック的アプローチを見せながらも、柳田ヒロの鍵盤が全体に独特の色を加えており、更にサウンドの幅は広がっている。URC時代の最後のスタジオ盤となる本作、岡林はたくさんのさよならとこんにちはを繰り返し、「俺らいちぬけた」と宣言、それまでの「どん詰まり」の狭いフォーク界から、もがきながらまだ見ぬ次の時代へと一人駆け抜けていった。(オリジナルリリース:1971年)

フォークの神様のうちで、何度も口ずさんだ歌。
フォークソングには、ギター片手にジャカジャカやりながらうたうと会う歌と、旋律を弾くのがあう歌がある。
俺ら（おいら）いちぬけたは、どちらでもうたえる。

　岡林信康が1971年に発表した3作目。今回の再発で初めて聴きましたが、これまで聴かなかったことが悔やまれるほど充実した内容で、３作品の中では最も良かったです。
　バックは柳田ヒロ、高中正義、鈴木慶一などです。はっぴいえんどがバックを担当、泥臭いロック・アルバムであった前作品に比べて、全体的にバックがタイトな演奏になってます。シャープなピアノやギターのためか前作品より洗練された印象で、またファンクの影響も感じさせます。
　歌詞としては、政治的なものを離れ人間・文明・愛などを歌ったものが増えています。これまでのように個人の思想・苦悩を直截的な言葉で綴るといった内容でなく、時に婉曲的な表現であったり、寓話的であったり、聴き手との距離を感じさせる内容になっています。歌い方もこれまで通りであったり、ひと癖あるふてぶてしい歌い方であったりと使い分けています。デビュー作から続けて聴いてみると、こうした変化はあくまでも個人の変化に正直な、単に等身大の歌を作り続けた結果、といった印象です。
　なお、クレジットされていませんが、最後の「申し訳ないが気分がいい」が終わったしばらく後に入っているのは「岡林信康に捧げる唄」というタイトルだそうです。突然思いつきで録音したということです。
　また、この商品はしっかりした作りのダブル・ジャケットです。今回の紙ジャケで復刻された3作品は全部買いましたが、どれも満足のいく仕上がりでした。

タイトル通りこのアルバムをもってして、高石友也氏を祖として
時には社会を引っ張ってきたフォークの役目は終焉します。
別に神様が抜けるといったから終わったわけではありませんが、
「政治の季節」が終わりを告げた時代の空気だったのでしょう。
それは同時にフォークの大衆化の始まりです。
長髪、ベルボトムに象徴された米国ヒッピー文化が、一般大衆に
爆発的に広まっていったのもこのころからです。
（それまでは、反体制のとんがりの証だったわけで）
ＵＲＣやエレックの手を離れたフォークは、ポップスや演歌の
エッセンスを取り込みながら拡大していきます。
７２年の武道館での「音絡大歌合せ」で山から出てきた岡林さんは、
やけにせいせいしたようで、明るかったでした。
