エリック曰く「70年代のR&Bの雰囲気たっぷりのロマンティックなアルバム。」
最初にライブで披露したのが去年9月の東京だったラテン調の”Spanish Fly”,
やはり昨年の来日で歌った往年のスタイリスティックスを彷彿させる”You’re the Only One” は、シングルカットされ、現在Urban Ac Chart で、4位。
”Chocolate Legs”は、エリックの高音が美しいバラード。軽快で爽やかな”Don’t Let Go”、アップテンポでダンサフルな “Hunger”は、次のシングルに予定されている。
"Love, Patience & Time"は、このアルバムのメッセージソング。
愛娘インディアの誕生した時の感激を歌った”One More Tomorrow”、インディアへの想いを熱くギターを手に語る”Sing To Me”など必聴！
日本版のみのボーナス2曲は、アメリカのファンの間でも期待大で日本から取り寄せたいという声も出ています。

このアルバムのテーマの一つは、回帰。
R&Bのあるべき姿、そしてEric Benetの原点に返る。
41才になったエリックベネイが人生に愛と希望を見出したアルバム。
エリック自身、そしてファンの求めていたソウルミュージック。
エリック・ベネイを今まで知らなかった人にも受け入れられるはず。
アルバムの一曲目はいつもメッセージソング。
“Love Patience & Time”は、困難な時代を生きる人々への応援歌。
本来のR&Bテイストたっぷりの”You’re the Only One”
は、R&B song として全米No.1に（9/1）
ここ数年Eric Benetの身に起きたプライベートな出来事について歌った
“Still I Believe”では、エリックの16才の娘Indiaがバックコーラスで参加。
インディアはエリックにとって「生きること、愛すること」そのもの。
“Love & Life”は、人生を祝福し謳歌するアルバム。

　孤高のバラード「Hurricane」。深い悲しみを乗り越えてポジティブに生きようとする姿勢がストレートに伝わる名曲だった。あれから３年。本アルバムも珠玉のバラードを多く収録した秀作だ。この間に心境の変化があったのか。前作よりも穏やかで心温まるメロディーがあふれる。
　ハイライトは，「You’re The Only One」。この上なく甘美でロマンティックなバラードで，ロマンス映画のＢＧＭのような夢見心地の逸品。これに続くのが，メロウで小粋なアップテンポ「Weekend Girl」か。ホーンセクションもゴージャスに，軽妙なステップでしなやかに舞う洒落たナンバーだ。アカペラで幕を開ける爽やかな「Love Patience & Time」は，休日の昼下がりにも似たゆるやかで穏やかな空気が心地良い。
佳曲はこれに止まらない。ゆったりと心地良くスウィングするミッドテンポ「Don't Let Go」は，ＮＪＳの頃を想起させるストリート感覚のビートが効果的な習慣性の強いナンバー。テリー･デクスターとのデュエットによる「Everlove」は，ピアノを基調としたハッピーなスロー。哀愁漂うラテン調バラード「Spanish Fly」は，ナイト・ミュージックのようなしっとりとしたメロディーにホーンセクションを交えたサウンドが印象的。「One More Tomorrow」は，流麗なピアノがそよ風のように心地良い。「Loving The Day Away」は，愛娘に対する深い愛情に満ちた穏やかなバラード・・・・と実に聴きどころ満載。
昔から，ＡＯＲやポップス寄りのサウンドが「Ｒ＆Ｂらしくない」と批判されることも少なくないエリック・ベネイ。ただ，ジャンルはどうあれ，彼の音楽がグッド･ミュージックであることは間違いない。そんな意味で全ての人にお薦めしたいグッド・ミュージックだ。
