『恋する惑星』でのウォン・カーウァイのリズムが、2008年型に進化した感じの傑作。

あの独特のスローモーションの演出が、今までのどのウォン・カーウァイの映画よりも
カッコ良くて、それでいて哀しい。

「ジュード・ロウと、ノラ・ジョーンズの単なる恋愛映画」ではありませんので、男性
にも断然おススメできます。

夫婦、嫉妬、束縛、父親の愛、一目惚れ・・・そういった感情が、ウォン・カーウァイ
のあの独自のハードボイルド感でものすごくうまく演出されています。

香港で撮影された氏の映画に、アメリカの乾いた空気が注入されて、奇跡的なバランス感を生み出しました。
高画質で、何度でも観返すことができる作品です。

☆私はこの映画に夢中になりました。けど、はっきりした起承転結がないと い〜っ となる人にはお勧めできないかも。「道を一巡して出発点に戻る」ってタイプのロードムービーです。

道中で Norah演じるElizabeth が出会う人物は、いずれもトラブルまみれだったり、暗い過去を捨て去ろうとする人たち。
そんな人たちとの出会いが、無理をせず自分らしくある姿を見せる鏡・自分の居場所を見せる鏡になってるんですね。そして、鏡の中に自身の姿を認めることで、一皮剥けた成長ができるって事です。

★ -閑話休題- Norahの鼻には メガネ痕がくっきり! 今までの写真では判らなかったけど、彼女 普段は眼鏡っ娘なんですよね。

☆監督による 映画の全体像をつくっていった経緯・何故 パイがブルーベリーなのか・サントラの選曲基準、サントラに参加した Chan Marshall as CAT POWERが カメオ出演した理由などは、DVD特典映像をご覧下さい。(DVDは角川・Blu-RayはSony、発売元が違うのね。) 香港人らしいエピソード満載です。動画サイトの 監督とNorahのインタヴュー をご存知の方には、ネタバレしてますけどね。

★サントラは、映画を観た後 階下のレコード店にて 特典ポスター付で買いました。すると、どういうわけか私には「映画=サントラ」になっちゃったんですよ。本作に限った話ですが。
