盛り上がり場面での曲の入りがどうしても「アルマゲドン」と、かぶっちゃいます。(笑)しかし原作での沢山の場面をコンパクトに一つとしてまとめていたり、キャストがソックリで原作ファンも納得です。今までで一番の実写化だと思います。映画はやはり時間の制約があるので全部のエピソードは無理で仕方がないですが、三部作に分けた事により細かい作り手のこだわりなど伝わります。三部作にして正解だと思います。曲もアルマゲドンとよく似ているとチラホラ言われてますが(私も思った一人)ストーリーにはあっています。

シリーズものの常として、この第1作は主要キャラクターの紹介と、スケールの大きな物語のプロローグにすぎないのですが、原作を読んだことのない人はいろんな伏線を覚えきれるのかな?と心配したりもします。2時間２０分という決して短くはない映画なのですが、原作コミックを駆け足でなぞったという印象で、謎は謎のまま残ります。登場時点からもう若くないケンヂや仲間たちは、約５０年に及ぶ物語の後半では相当の年齢になるはずで、ラストについている予告編を見ると、第2作がとても楽しみです。第１作はケンジが主人公ですが、第２作はカンナが活躍するはずで、新人女優の平愛梨の眩しいほどの魅力に期待感も高まっています。

オープニングの回転数が怪しい「エーゲ海の真珠」から、その時代にタイムスリップです。

このサントラ、3流音楽家3人が共同で書いた代物のようだ。
しかし機械音楽と云うのは、耳障りで嫌なものだ(良いものもあるが)。
曲も安っぽいし、買って損をする一枚ではある。
しかし、だからと云って下手にオケを使うとそれはまた駄目だろう。
映画自体が、そんなオーケストラでやるような雰囲気ではない。
もし使ってたら、陰湿などよどよの曲に仕上がっていた事だろう。

結論を云えば、
結局はこのようなサントラ、観賞用にするべきではないだろう。
映画の裏方として存在させておくべきだったのかもしれない。
ボブ・レノンだけシングル化すべし！
