太平洋戦争の全貌を、多彩に分岐する日本軍・米軍の2つの視点で再現したPC向け超大型ウォーシミュレーションが、新要素を満載してPS2とPSPに登場。今回の移植版では、日本軍とアメリカを中心とする連合軍が激戦を繰り広げた「太平洋戦争」だけでなく、「マーケット・ガーデン作戦」といった欧州方面における戦史も追体験できる。マップ数は130枚を超え、各マップでは最大5陣営の勢力が激しく衝突。部隊ごとに移動、戦闘、占領、輸送などの各種軍事行動を取りながら、あらかじめ設定された勝利条件のクリアを目指す。戦闘シーンは、兵器や地形を完全3D化したCGアニメーションでリアルに再現。登場する兵器数は、全部で1,150種類を数える。

PCの現代大戦略シリーズはとても面白くてハマっています。今回PS2に大戦略(しかも第二次大戦モノ)が出るということで、期待しまくって購入しました。
しかし、まずグラフィックが汚い!文字も見づらいし地形やユニットも見づらい。最大のウリであるはずの3Dの戦闘シーンもとにかく見づらい!航空機対地上ユニットだと、戦車と補給車の違いすら識別できません。とにかく最悪です。加えて操作性も最悪。説明できないほどです。ハッキリ言って、面白さを見出だせない。今日発売ですが、今日売ってきます!
PC版は最高なのに・・・

ハッキリ言って面白くないです。

良い点
日本軍、アメリカ軍はもちろん敵軍をプレイヤーが操作することもできる。

欠点
まず文字が見づらいです。説明文とか読んでいると疲れます。
映像もそれほど綺麗じゃないので、戦闘シーンの画像を見ても特に感動はしないです
兵器がいろいろ登場しますが、ただ数だけそろえた印象が強い。
マップも見づらい。　どこにユニットがいるのかすごく分かりづらくてやりづらい
音楽が単調で飽きる
ユニットが多いのに移動がやりづらいのでユニットを動かすのが苦痛。
戦況を把握しづらい。
せっかく勝ってもあまり達成感がない。

登場兵器数1000以上とかなり多い分一つ一つのユニットの表示がかなり縮小サイズで非常に見づらい。各兵器には機体紹介があるんだけどこれまた紹介文が小さくて見づらい。戦闘シーンだけ3Dじゃなくマップでの表示もそれなりにしてもらえたらなぁと思う。更にBGMはなんか微妙に戦闘意欲を掻き立てるようなBGMじゃないし。結局あらゆる面で不満があるので★2つと言う裁定です。
