　実家とのビデオチャット用に購入しました。今までは、映像は市販のUSBカメラ、音声はヘッドセットでやってましたが、いちいちヘッドセットを付けないと音声を拾わないし、ヘッドセット付けている人だけの会話しか出来ませんでした。その点play station eyeは、部屋にいる人なら普通にしゃべったら音声は拾うので、家族みんなでテレビ電話してる感じで便利です。音声出力はテレビのスピーカーにしても、テレビの音量orマイク感度を調節したらストレスが無いぐらいの音声認識ができます。
　遠方に知り合い・家族がいる方でネット環境＋プレステ３があるのであれば、無料でテレビ電話できるので、とてもお勧めですよ。
　後、付属のソフトですがアソブとトクっていうのは、結構楽しかったです。カメラに写った自分の手などを動かして誘導するゲームですが、結構新鮮です。今から、いろいろ楽しめるソフト開発して欲しいですねぇ。
　後、COD4など対戦ゲームでボイチャするのであれば、これはお勧めできません。ゲーム中のボイチャの音声は聞き取りにくいし、ミュート機能はないし、部屋全体の音声を拾うのでノイズ等結構迷惑かも。ゲーム中のボイチャは自分的にはヘッドセットですね。

ウィニングイレブン2008の顔取り込みや、Little Big Planetのステージエディットに使用したいと思い、購入しました。
おもしろいですね〜。ゲームの自由度が相当広がりました。
早速大活用しています。
ちなみに、付属ソフトについては他の方のレビュー通り、すぐ飽きてしまいました（＾＾；

で、タイトルにも書きましたが、Windows Live Messengerでも通常使用できました。
WebCameraを持っていない、または今の画素数に満足されていない方は、是非この際にいかがでしょうか。
ドライバーの所在や設定方法については、google等で検索すればヒットしますので、興味のある方はどうぞ。

ヘッドフォンを持っているので、
ヘッドセットの代わりに使おうと思い、購入してみました。

他のヘッドセットや、マイクは分からないですが、
以前持っていた安いヘッドセットのマイクと比べると
声を拾いやすくとてもいい感じです。
モニターの上に設置して1m程離れてますが
問題なく声を拾ってくれます。
むしろ、拾いすぎて困るくらいです^^;
ミュートスイッチ等あれば便利かな〜と
思いました。
その辺りは、スイッチ付きのUSBハブで対処してみようと思ってます。

カメラの方ですがPS3で確認したところ、
画質も良くて、とても良いのではないかと思いました。^^
