安室奈美恵のベストアルバム。
いわゆる小室路線から完全に脱却してからの楽曲が収められている。

私は「shine more」がかなり好きなのであるが、
この曲が出た頃は、彼女が低迷していた頃だ。（絶頂期に比べれば）
個人的に安室の路線変更が良い感じに思っていたが、世間の反応はいまひとつのようだった。
でもこの期間を経て、彼女は「唯一無二の存在」に駆け上がったと思う。
彼女はこのR＆B路線を貫き通した。
「WANT ME WANT ME」などの挑発的な曲、「white light」などの派手ではないバラード。
日本では馴染みにくい、余り主流でないスタイルを突き通した。

その結果、長いときを経て彼女の評価はここへきてまた上がり始めている。
こういうスタイルの楽曲を堂々と行い、またセールスにも結び付けられるのは今のところ日本で彼女ぐらいだろう。
最近では「カッコいい」ということで野郎ファンも増えてるそうだ。
ぶれなかったことが実を結ぶことをトップシーンで示した、日本では珍しいケースかもしれない。
このアルバムは、その苦難（？）と再生をたどったものだ。

派手に活躍することが全てじゃないことも、今の彼女が示してくれていること。
良い音楽、良いパフォーミングには自然と人は惹きつけられるのだろう。
「日本で今もっともCDを売るアーティスト」とか言われてる、どこぞのベスト連発グループには、
彼女の爪のアカを煎じて飲ませてやりたいくらいだ。
（同レーベルグループでこうも作品の良し悪しに差が出るものか・・・汗）

安室さんに関しては、勿論、以前から知ってましたし曲も聞いたことがありました。
今回は久々のＢＥＳＴ版、しかもＤＶＤ付きとの事で購入したのですが、
多くの人から支持される理由がわかったような気がします。
私は熱心なファンではないので、本当の魅力はわかってないのかもしれませんが、
これだけは言えます。コレは買いでしょう・・・と。

うまく表現出来ないのですが、是非手元に持っていたいものだと言う事です。
特にＤＶＤは素晴らしい出来栄えで、頭の中に残像が残るほどです。
安室さんに興味がある方には是非お勧めします。
なかなか、こういう見事な作品には出会えないと思いますから。

これだけ評価が高いのは何かあるのではと思いながらも注文してしまった。
実は安室のＣＤ購入は今回が初めて。

結果はまさに評価通りだった。
全曲渾身入魂。一曲も捨て曲はない。
私はこれで行く という強い覚悟を感じた。
誰も文句は言えない出来であろう。

これ以上は今後は望めないかもしれない。
いや それでもいいだろう。
