予約注文していたハニービー3チャンネル機ATLASが発売間もなく届きました。
　さっそく飛ばしてみましたが、ハイパータンデムのスティックで操作する前進と違ってボタンで制御するアトラスはスイッチみたいな感じで細かな調整はできません。左ボタンが普通の前進、右ボタンが高速前進です。つまり前進は2段階です。
　普通の前進はチョンと押すと50cm〜70cmくらい前進します。向きを変えながら行きたい方向に前進できるのは便利ですね。しかし高速前進の方はどんなに短くボタンを押しても1メートルくらい一気に前進します。ボタンを押してから前進が始まるまでのタイムラグがわずかにあるのも難点です。なので6畳程度の部屋では前進を使ったフライトはとても難しいです。前進が終わったあとの制御も不安定で難しいです。
　しかし2ch機としてならとても安定性があり、落ち着いたフライトが楽しめます。最初は右回りが強かったのですが、テイルローターなどの調整で良い感じなりました。トリムをうまく使いながらですが安定感あるフライトが楽しめます。
　実測で13〜14gの重量とアパッチに比べて2センチほど延長されている胴体のおかげで安定感があると思われますが、その分航続時間はアパッチなどと比べて8分程度と短めです。
　もっと広い場所で飛ばすと前進制御を使ったフライトが楽しめるのかもしれませんが、6畳程度の部屋ならハイパータンデムの方が良いかもしれません。これで価格が2ch機並みにだったら文句無く5つ星なんですけどねぇ（笑）。※購入時は5,700円（送料込み）

"3ch"の表記に飛びついたものの、よくよく確認するとこれまでの上下左右に加えて「前進」が加わったとのこと。要するに後退はできません。とはいえ、モーターもパワーアップしているように感じますし、回転もスムーズ。これまで遊んでいたハニービーレッドと比べると操作の安定感が増したように感じます。前進機能についてはハニービー3chブルーのレビュアーの方も書いておられるように「速い」です。ゆっくりと前進というよりは「飛び出る」に近いイメージです。そんなこんなでぶつけまくっていますが、これまでどおりの耐久性で長く楽しませてくれそうです。
